Side Curtain Airbags Could Deploy Without Warning...​

Stellantis is issuing a voluntary recall for an estimated 263,247 fourth-generation Ram pickups to replace their side-curtain airbags. An investigation was conducted by FCA US LLC. discovered certain vehicles may be equipped with airbag inflators that were contaminated by moisture during the supplier’s manufacturing process. Such inflators may rupture, even without airbag deployment, possibly sending debris into the cabin of the vehicle.

This is getting ridiculous, the level of quality in supplier parts is unacceptable and a direct result of cost cutting to maximize profits and salaries. Yea we get it and it’s ugly. People are not buying Stellantis vehicles because of these defective parts and the cost to brand reputations is the real payoff.
