I’ve been banging around about info on the 2023 RAM HD lineup. From what I gather, HDs will get the Uconnect 5 (carried over from 22) and new exterior and interior styling. Am I gathering correctly? 😂
Anyone know if they will continue with the Power Wagon in 2023?

Anyone have anything to add and are there any spy shots creeping around?

Personally, I really hope they give the 6.4 a bump. 💪🏼 It’s been too long. 👍

RAM Family gets an significant revamp in 2024 time period . including 1500, RAM EV and RAM HD .
Classic likely gets drop.

@Ramajama Wouldn't be shock (no pun) to see PHEV options on 1500 and HD.

ZF is currently hiring workers for their expanded transmission production lines in Gray Court, South Carolina, USA. That is where the 8-speed automatics behind the Hemi powered Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups come from. The new products coming from there are an upgraded 8-speed and the new Powerline 8-speed for medium duty trucks, including HD pickup trucks. This would be the Ram 3500 and above. Production starts towards the end of the 2022 calendar year.

I thought all the future PHEV Jeeps and Ram trucks would be going to the 4th generation ZF hybrid transmission, but the information on the ZF website is not clear about this. Some of the product announcements suggest that ZF is modifying the transmission model found in the Wrangler PHEV for light commercial vehicle use rather than going to the fourth generation setup. We will know more next year. I'm reasonably sure that most of this will be for the 2023 model year products.

I can confirm that information is correct. 2023MY will continue to be 4th Gen Ram HDs (another MCA on the current truck).

I wonder if they revamp Brampton to build DT/HD refresh, and Charger/Challenger/STLA Large based KM goes to Belvedere to increase Belvedere's utilization.

STLA Frame = Warren, Brampton, SHAP
STLA Large plants = JNAP, Mack, Belvedere
STLA Medium = Windsor, Toluca

Do they really need 3 plants to build DT/HD?
Brampton might be converted into battery production for NA manufactured vehicles, if it doesn’t get upgraded for STLA Large

That is a bad idea, to far from assembly. Shipping batteries is a bitch.

It won’t be easy unless there is a battery production facility next to each production plant. Or they convert one of US plant to produce them.

Take my word for it, you see them pop up very close. It a big hoop to jump,

To make a run for F-Series pre-chip shortage volume they need 4 plants (Warren, Saltillo,Sterling Heights and potentially Brampton).

What a ballooning future economy we have coming. The auto makers have mostly all pivoted to make their own chips and then you have the RV industry, that saw sales bulge 54% last year but almost no parts. Thousands of RV's sitting waiting for air conditioners, cabinets, vinyl, etc. Now they have used up their parts inventory to build new units and have no parts, so they have ordered more - from whoever can produce them. This may very well be a canary in the coal mine for North America. Also battery plant in BAP will be contingent on getting raw materials from mines not far from it, talks already in place. US battery plant wouldnt be far away, Detroit.
