About a month ago, we showed you the Euro-spec 2019 Jeep Renegade that made it's debut at the Turin Auto Show in Italy. Then we were the first to spot the North American model, without its camouflage on the streets of Metro Detroit. Now we have the latest information on the smallest Jeep in the FCA US lineup.
For the 2019 model year, the popular Jeep Renegade is getting some fantastic updates. First and foremost, it will receive new front fascias. The upper fascia is updated for all trims and the lower is updated for all the non-Trailhawk models. All Renegades receive a new grille surround.

The biggest news is all is FCA is quietly debuting the new 1.3L Turbo direct injected GSE engine to the North American market! This little engine should have 20 more horsepower and the previous 1.4T along with 20 to 30 more ft-lbs of torque. All engine will be mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, which is standard on Trailhawk and Limited models. All Renegades with the 9-speed automatic transmission, will feature Electronic Stop Start (ESS) system and the non-Trailhawk models will receive Active Grille Shutters to improve economy.
