Ram Needs to Bring Back a True Sport Truck

Ram Needs to Bring Back a True Sport Truck

A Unique Street-Focused Ram 1500 is Long Overdue

For years, Ram has been known for building bold, aggressive trucks that stand out from the crowd. But in today’s lineup, something is missing—a true sport truck. The 1990s and early 2000s were a golden era for high-performance street trucks, and Ram played a big role in that movement. Models like the Rumble Bee, Thunder Road, HEMI® Express, and Daytona brought a unique blend of muscle car attitude and truck capability to the streets. Today, however, Ram’s lineup has shifted focus almost entirely to off-road variants, leaving a major gap for buyers who want something sporty but don’t need all-terrain capability.

I agree with one proviso - MAKE THEM AFFORDABLE! $40k plus is not affordable. A cool two door short bed pickup with necessities like a/c, heated seats and steering wheel should be a priority. Loading them to the gills by dealers should be illegal. JMO.

At least the two door short bed. I've had a 1978 1995 2007 2014 bought a 2918 when I saw how soccer mom the unlimited looked. I didn't want a 2 door truck looking like that. but now they have none. I would even take the ugly looking woman truck in the 2 door short bed. but the think long life customers don't matter enough. when I bought the 2018 I was told that the single cab only accounted for 8% of sales . That's the long bed and short as well as the fleet ones that are striped down nothing's. I prefer the decked out ones. but now I would take a fleet one with vinyl floors and bench seat. roll up windows. but they think life long customers don't even deserve that opportunity. what a joke Dodge has became. I know your going to hallar it's Ram. I beg to differ just because you start calling an orange a watermelon . doesn't change the fact the orange is an orange.
