The Jeep® Cherokee is officially making its comeback next year, equipped with a hybrid powertrain to align with Jeep’s vision of electrified mobility. Antonio Filosa, Jeep® CEO, and Stellantis’ North American COO confirmed the news during the 2024 LA Auto Show, generating excitement among fans of the iconic nameplate.

I do hope customers will have an ICE option in the new Cherokee. I love my Cherokee but I will be out the door on another without a gasoline six under the hood. This is a major market segment for Jeep, let’s hope the mistakes that have haunted Jeep lately will not destroy the Cherokee. The Wagoneer S and Recon are on track for utter failure, hope the Cherokee escapes their fate.

As an owner of a 2017 Cherokee, which we LOVE, we would buy new one in a heartbeat with an ICE. No ICE, no deal!!

Hybrid only at launch.
That is ICE..... as ICE as is needed.

At this point I am reluctant to buy pure ICE, it would have to be a very specific model.

Camry has shown as long a you put gas in and it goes, people are happy with it.

For those unaware Recon is inline to get the HEV powertrain,

The Wagoneer S is low volume by intention in class with the bestselling vehicle on the planet.

Hopefully the Trailhawk model will make a return eventually.

I'm not against a hybrid for my next vehicle, and it being larger than KL would be welcome too especially in the cargo area.
