Ram Rampage Wins Two Prestigious Awards in Brazil

Ram Rampage Wins Two Prestigious Awards in Brazil

Recognition for Best Intermediate Pickup and Performance Excellence...

The Ram Rampage continues solidifying its success in Brazil and South America, with the pickup truck recently taking home two significant awards. Since its launch just over a year ago, the Rampage has made waves in the region, achieving over 28,000 units sold and earning praise for its performance, design, and advanced features.

Damn I wish there was SUSW plant here, could they not produce these in Mexico when the Compass moves to Brampton?

The important thing about the Rampage is that much of the market questions about a mid-size Ram pickup have been answered. A similar, but better for sure, STLA Large platform based pickup will have a strong following in North America and eventually as a global product. Let’s fast track our Ram pickup ASAP. This has been talked to death already. Next week production start up stateside works for me.

Agreed, no need for a Cherokee replacement either...

Why not follow Ford's footsteps...

Maverick -> Rampage
Ranger -> STLA Large Midsize
F-150 -> Ram 1500
F-150 Lightning -> Ram 1500 REV
Super Duty -> Heavy Duty

Rampage would need to be cheapened to compete with Maverick here. Offer a front-wheel-drive (FWD) standard model.

  • Length and Width: The two are nearly identical in dimensions, though the Ram Rampage is slightly longer and wider.
  • Wheelbase: The Maverick offers a longer wheelbase, providing a smoother ride.
  • Towing & Payload: The Rampage edges out the Maverick with higher towing and payload capacities, making it better suited for tasks.
  • Ground Clearance: The Maverick Tremor has more ground clearance, which could benefit off-road enthusiasts.
  • Bed Size: The trucks offer similar bed lengths, catering to light utility needs.

I honestly have to think there’s no one steering the ship. This one is staring everyone in the face and they will not act on it. How frustrating ! This is something I would be a strong candidate for to replace my 2017 standard cab short bed 1500. To have the vehicle engineered , in production, ready made for a currently expanding market segment, and not act on it. Dumb as a box of rocks. Frenchies selling cars in America. I’ve said it before , say it again, they have a track record . It is a sad track record.

Bob, me not being a Ford guy, how much of a difference is there between the Ranger and Maverick size wise and if our version is based on Brazil’s Rampage size wise, where would we fit in between the 2 Fords.
