Jeep® continues to celebrate its rich military history with the new 2025 Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41, a limited-edition Wrangler that bridges its legendary past with the future of hybrid innovation. Inspired by the iconic 1941 Willys MB, the original Jeep that earned its reputation in World War II (WWII), this special edition brings military-inspired styling and modern eco-friendly power to today’s off-road enthusiasts.

The new one looks like a monster truck next to the original. It looks really good. Would love to have this and a new Charger in my driveway

My question is, what platform is the Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator going on if Stellantis is moving to the four platforms, small, medium, large & frame. My question stems from the introduction of the Jeep Recon, which will be build on the STLA LArge platform. The STLA Large platform can produce a vehicle roughly 202" long, which is longer than the current Ford Explorer that can utilize up to a 32" tire, have up to 10.3" ground clearance and can house the hurricane-6 powertrains. Honestly to me, when you look at it this way, the new Recon sounds alot like a modern version of the SJ jeeps from the '70's & '80's. If so, hopefully a gas powered version will have more of the SJ Type front end than the EV variant. I guess it would make sense for the wrangler/gladiator to move to a version of the Frame platform?
