Stellantis (FCA US LLC) has secured a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for a new vehicle wheel well heater design aimed at enhancing safety and performance in cold climates. The newly patented heater prevents snow and ice from building up inside the vehicle’s wheel wells, which can obstruct nearby vehicle components, such as deployable side steps, sensors, and other components.

Outlaw all Road Salt and other corrosive material used on roads instead. Unlike the Man Made Climate Change hoax Road Salt is an actual environmental problem

Some states on the East coast no longer use salt for that reason. Here in CT we use a calcium magnesium chemical mixed with sand. Liquid spray is used to pre-treat the roads before a storm and a solid base is mixed with a bit sand for the trucks to spread during plowing.

Agree. About 10 years ago a northern state, maybe Wisconsin? I can't remember, but a northern state did a study on this. They found that the effect on fish and water ecosystems was significant.

When I was growing up, we rarely saw plow and salt trucks. Local governments had very few, and they mainly hit major roadways. People who needed to be out in winter would simply buy a 4 wheel drive pickup and take care of themselves. You know, the American way.
