Could a Dodge Attitude SRT-4 Revive Affordable Performance?

A Performance Twist Could Revive Dodge's Attitude, But It Would Have To Be American...

Timothy Adry Emmanuel (@adry53customs) loves to stir the pot with some of his automotive designs. His latest digital concept—a high-performance version of the Dodge Attitude, using the SRT-4 name. The Dodge Attitude has traditionally been a practical, entry-level sedan available in Mexico, but Emmanuel’s vision for an SRT-4 version transforms the newest variant into a spirited compact sedan.

Another lead question, could you keep Old Willy here out of this conversation? To the point, a line of mid-size Dodge performance vehicles with Hi Po Turbo four and AWD optional, hybrid four optional, electric optional and FWD four standard is not only logical, it’s critical. Off one platform you could build a coupe, and a sedan/hatchback and revitalize the affordable performance brand reputation immediately. Frankly, this is where that European connection would earn its keep.
Willy has spoken. Dodge can change the downward slide with this idea.
Thanks for the concept renditions.

That’s not even a good design. It’s literal garbage.

No they missed the boat already. Dart SRT4 was confirmed and canceled at last minute, THAT was their swan song. It’s done. SRT4 has now been dead for nearly two decades, it doesn’t resonate with anyone anymore. They would absolutely 100% screw it up

The name in Chinese is YingBao(the shadow Leopard) s 1.5t 177hp 270n 7dct 0-60 7sec 11.8(16500US) //rs 1.5t 12.8(18000)//r pro 2.0t 265hp 8at 400n 5.7sec 13.8(19380us) //r max 2.0t 15.8(22189us) --------now the ****ing Dodge try to sell 35000 to us market ?

Wouldn't a lot of work go into certification and safety to make in sellable north of Rio Grande?

I think the better question would be "Could an STLA Medium based SRT4 revive affordable performance?" The answer, maybe. Dodge has all of the tools they need to correct what Stellantis has screwed up. It comes down to getting rid of the poor management and bringing in people who actually care about the American brands and will do what is necessary to make things work right. I've laid it out before that the size of the STLA medium platform would work for smaller, more affordable performance vehicles. The Medium platform has a 114" wheelbase so the car would still be able to have some room to it and honestly, the return of the Caliber SRT4 would be a welcome addition to the line up if it were done right. If it were me, I'd take the 2.4L I-4 engine, do a plasma transfer wire arc spray on the cylinder walls, create a hurricane-4 cylinder head and valvetrain for it so it would be turbocharged and give it a cross-plane crank shaft all to the tune of about 390hp with maybe 405tq. It would have a transverse mounted engine but the AWD system would be rear-biased and very similar to what Acura offers on the TLX Type S. Design wise, the vehicle would adopt the new Charger's body language inside and out, a widebody stance, a large floating rear spoiler between two flying buttresses like what is on the Wagoneer S along with a decklid rear lip spoiler, taillights inspired by the Hornet along with a Hornet-like hood, and a quad tipped dual exhaust system. A setup like this would actually offer more cargo space than the hornet has while also being more dynamic. That along with a Journey crossover and a Ram Rampage would work out well for affordable performance

The upgraded 2 Liter Hurricane will have plenty of Umph for a SRT4 paired with a !50 HP e-axle in the back. It doesn't need to be PHEV just a battery big enough to run the Eaxle for 15 seconds or so. So you are looking north of 450 hp. Don't copy the Charger, Have its own modern Look. If anything mimic the original that I find as one my top 11 Mopars.

But yeah better hurry my guess is it won't be long before besides the Charger there will be no ICE engines attached to Transmissions.... Especially in the STLA Mid. It would not surprise me at all if the Compass comes this way.
