When Direct Connection came back into the game, I often wondered why they didn't revisit this with the new tuner and some of the other upgrades Mopar had by that point. The 5.7L Hemi V8 had alot of potential but they focused so much on the Hellcat, which was sad because more people own 5.7L Hemi cars than they do hellcat cars. Even with all of the hype about the upcoming Six Pack cars, I hope that Direct Connection will revisit this for those Mopar fans that want to keep their current gen Hemi cars.
I am seriously hoping that Direct Connection has a big involvement in upgrades for both the Standard Output and High Output six pack cars. Turbo cars respond very well to tunes and mods so It wouldn't take much to figure that a Stage 1 kit with just a tune could add maybe another 25 and a stage 2 kit with a cold air intake, upgraded intercoolers, injectors, fuel pump, exhaust system, blow off valves and tune may give a 50-60hp gain. That would put the Standard output cars around 445hp (Stage 1) and around 470-480hp(Stage-2) and the High Output cars to 575hp Stage 1 and up to 600-610hp (Stage-2). A Stage-3 packages with upgraded Garrett turbos could even see an increase of 80hp with all of those supporting modifications, putting a Standard Output car to 500hp and a High Output car to 630hp. That's still pretty impressive for a "Scat pack" level car. Add in some aero upgrades, hood options, wheel options, etc. and this car will be amazing
