Small urban EVs make a lot of sense. It's sad that Fiat is having such a hard time selling the new 500e. I have no idea what the deals are in my region, but now I don't need a new car.

No matter the manufacturer these types of urban focused cars have a hard sell in our market. It’s amazing, when I’m in Italy, these 500s, in one form or another, are everywhere. Do Rome, do Milan, do Florence by car and you get it. Drive from Long Island to West Palm Beach, not so much. Did both, the choices are clear.
The 500 is an amazing package, very comfortable in the short run, but unless you don’t use mass transit, as most urban dwellers do, it has no audience. Indeed it is a neat car, but not right for our wide open spaces life styles. I still believe in Fiat here, but they need other product. Trouble is they have lost the attention or relevance of the American buyers. Squandered opportunity driven by “Eurothink”needing a total reboot.
