I'm with Bill on this one. The electric models are going to be slow sellers. Notice Dodge didn't start withe Hellcat models. It was SXT,RT,SRT models that provided the funds to do the Hellcats. They should maybe use the hybrid Pacifica drivetrain with around 300 hp as a SXT mode.
With Stellantis raising prices and mis-marketing the line up. It's no wonder sales are down. They have a boatload of new Chargers and Challengers just sitting on dealers lot.
Stellantis is proving to be totally inept at running the Mopar brands. Why is there no small Wrangler that is affordable...
So much of Chrysler Corp was destroyed by the crappy Daimler merger. Cerberus was a joke. FCA was another European domination. The Europeans just don't get why we Americans love are cars. Europe cars are utilitarian and are pretty soulless. The newer FCA/Stellantis products are a hit or miss...
The only brands that are going to be successful being an electric only brands are the luxury brands. Who wants to pay more for electric Fiat or Chrysler?
Stellantis needs new US management that understands the American market. Dodge needs to cut the price of the Hornet by at least by $10K then either keep at that price or discontinue it.
The Charger won't be competitive with the Mustang because of it's weight and size. There are rumors that the Challenger or Barracuda could come back with a smaller size and convertible models to compete with the Mustang.
Still think the 2dr. model will sink like a lead balloon. The top model will probably be at around $100K Especially if they offer a new Challenger that's smaller and lighter to compete directly with the Mustang.
Stellantis doesn't have the right people in charge of the American brands or they aren't giving them the resources to make good decisions. The Hornet should of had different styling than the Alfa and priced around the Compass or cheaper. The Hornet is probably going to get cancelled after this year.
They need to rethink the electric vehicles only. That would make the last Chrysler 200 look like it was in production for decades and take Chrysler with it
I think that there will be a new Challenger that is based on a smaller wheelbase as to be more competitive with the Mustang. Should also be a convertible model too. The new Charger doesn't do much for me.
All Jeeps should be 4 wheel drive only. Let Dodge sell the two wheel drive models. The V6 needs to be upgraded with direct injection and or a turbo model.
I think that the Stellantis merger was a bad deal for FCA. Stellantis should spin off Fiat and spin off Chrysler. Chrysler needs to be American run again.
Stellantis needs to give Dodge and Chrysler a full line up of affordable vehicles. Jeep has way too many products and there all over the place. They need a American executive running American operations.
Dodge needs to be a full line up brand again and offer a performance model or two. Chrysler should be modeled after the Genesis brand. If they aren't going to commit to Dodge and Chrysler then just fold the brands. Then Sell Ram & Jeep to an American Company like Tesla.
Looks like Stellantis is putting a lot of infertile eggs in one basket. They should slow down their EV program to match potential sales. Chrysler will go broke selling only EVs.
I think that Stellantis needs to have an affordable Wagoneer to compete with the Tahoe. This is where Plymouth brand would help. If they make the new Durango more sport than there's no need for Grand Cherokee SRT.
