I was at a LR dealer the other day too, looking at CPO options. Found it interesting that a some point they made the low range transfer case an option on the RRS. They were not options on the two previous I owned in 2010 and 2016. Even they are moving away from the capabilities they once...
Jeep is abandoning anyone that would like to tow over 5000lbs. Guess I should have bought the HEMI while it was available, but thought when they replaced it they actually improve the vehicle, seems I was wrong.
26 will have the Hurricane hey.. I guess you must work for Stellantis, thanks for listening and putting in a reasonable replacement for the HEMI. Knew joining and making this post would make a difference.
I've been a Jeep owner for 25 years, been reading here for ages, but never felt the need to comment. I'd like to buy another Jeep, but annoyed nothing will tow 7000lbs which I do often. Lexus does, Landrover does, so I'll look elsewhere unless they put the hurricane in the WL. The Hemi has...
I know many complain about (the current owner) killing the GJC from version to version, I've never really bought that, I've owned one of each one less the WL. I'd like to replace my 2015 3L Diesel, but without something better than a 2L I just can't, does not fit my use case. Guess I'll have...
Thinking about this more.. There has to be something else on the way.
Removing the old pentastar for a turbo 4 makes some sense but to have nothing above that in the lineup that can tow 7200lbs makes no sense. I wonder if they will actually offer the 2.0 and 3.0.
There must be others that...
I didn't buy when the WL came out due to the same legacy powertrain, thinking something better had to be coming. Better is not a 2L turbo.. Sigh.
Maybe I can find a used 2023 WL with the 5.7, but less than ideal.
Stellantis has gone completely insane.
I've been holding onto my 2015 GC diesel in hopes for the hurricane, something that can tow 7000lb. They've always had something that could tow ~7200lbs until they discontinued the HEMI. They must know they are leaving some of the market on the table...
