I thought Dodge was to remain RWD performance? Wouldn't anything FWD based be a Chrysler model? Although, if they stretched the wheelbase of this an inch, gave it a shooting brake (VW Scirocco) look with AWD and the 2.0T eTorque, I'd be happy to take one. Chrysler is itching to be the answer...
The exterior isn't the most eye catching, but Jeep designers are crushing it on interiors lately. This definitely looks luxurious and the attention to detail is top notch. Hopefully, all this trickles down to the other models in the lineup. Jeep could eventually on the same level as Range Rover.
I agree the market has declined, but that hasn't stopped premium/lux automakers from raking in cash on these cheaper FWD platforms and there are buyers out there that won't buy an CUV/SUV until they are forced to. In another sense, the US was is never given the best designs with the hatches and...
With the new 308 being unveiled in spyshots recently, I could see a revised fastback style model under the Chrysler banner in the US. However, I don't expect anything to start happening for at least another year or so, since Dodge has a plan and Chrysler doesn't even have a CEO.
I'm curious if they have prepared any new crossover designs for Chrysler/Lancia. Since neither brand has an identity and serve different regions why not badge engineer product for them. I've mentioned powertrains as hybrids and full electrics, but the brand also needs to generate interest and...
I'm curious if they have prepared any new crossover designs for Chrysler/Lancia. Since neither brand has an identity and serve different regions why not badge engineer product for them. Start with B-/C- segment crossovers, but with low slung coupe-ish like styling with a focus on on-road...
I really didn't see CUSW surviving beyond the current generation of models, since they seem to have abandoned it otherwise. EMP2 is likely a more suitable candidate for any FWD models from Stellantis until their fully electric platform is ready. With SRT engineers spread across the brands now...
I was in love with the lines of this thing, so hopefully they go all out. I thought they put this on hold for the US or is this the on again off again model we keep hearing about?
Well said. That's exactly what I was eluding to as Chrysler becoming the hybrid/electric brand for North America. Peugeot/Citroen/DS models can easily be reskinned for the US market, but still maintain versatility and uniqueness.
I get where you're coming from, because according to all automakers gasoline models will no longer be available by 2030-2035. Let's be realistic about this, Americans especially oil and gas companies will fight to keep their industries alive, while customers will not likely bend to a new tech...

Ummm the A3 is about to replaced this year with an all new version, so it's far from being dead. The A3 also has a loyal following like GTi buyers.
The CT4 however, was never going to be a major player in the segment. Cadillac consistently screws up its cars, that's why they are always...
Sedans are dying for the mainstream brands, but not in the premium/luxury segment. Ford got rid of all its sedans in the US because none (including Lincoln) of them were exceptional, so they had a reason to abandon the market. However, Stellantis has the ability use the same models in...
There's a beauty in this, as Chrysler is a blank slate. They could easily reskin models from Peugeot and DS to return Chrysler to its premium position among the NA brands. Chrysler deserves a unique line that does 4 things well as displayed with the Pacifica--style, fuel efficiency, technology...
@redriderbob
Do you know if they plan to spread this gorgeous Summit interior to models below the Grand Cherokee? IMO, Jeep could definitely give Land Rover/Range Rover a run for their money if that's the case.
😭😭😭 Say it ain't so--2 years?? At least they are taking their time to get it out, so I'm sure it'll be phenomenal this time around. Looking at the GCL's interior quality, I'm thinking it's worth the wait.
Do you guys remember these images when they where about to announce the Grand Wagoneer? I was sure then they were sketches of what would replace the KL. As a smaller sportier sibling something that looked like this would fit perfectly.
I have to agree with both of you in certain aspects. Bili already mentioned the CUSW platform being orphaned, definitely seems to be the case since there are no other models in the US built on it besides the Pacifica. If they are pushing Jeep upmarket with the Renegade and Compass growing in...
