STLA Large so far has 3 subversions with 4th coming.
RWD one for Charger, multienergy
FWD for 3 Mexican Jeeps, multienergy
BEV only so far for Giulia and Stelvio
4th is for some SUV models like Grand Cherokee, Durango and big Alfa SUV
In general I'm afraid of too high weight. For STLA Large cars in general.
The other one is battery management. It seems that STLA is not at where it should be. Inefficient BEV products.
This is all sort of game of thrones.
Based on what I've read from press it seems that French Unions in general are the only one which are clearly not happy with this decision.
But this was my opinion all along. Some choices were made to keep French supplier base and engineering in tact.
Now...
Look. Mildly if not low boost. High compression ratio and hybrid.
Hint: European short lived 1.5 GSE which had great plans but Manley and Tavares killed it.
Wrong choice if you ask me.
It should be Millerized 2.0 but what do I know.
A lot, really a lot of wrong powertrain/engine planning and development choices on bog sides of the pond.
There is only one Ferrari. Only one car is known for floatplane V8 and... And V12.
Crossplane OHV V8 are American thing.
BTW. Just imagine Maserati with floatplane V8. It would be ridiculous.
Maserati was well known for their crossplane V8s. Which Manley killed.

To be honest I'm not against GME T6, I'm for it but I'm also not for it as the sole engine option.
@cygnus
I doubt that it's because of lack of V8 or solely because of it.
A lot of wrong decisions from Stellantis, bothched car launches, BEV only craze...
Who? John Elkann?
I'm not sure if he is even in a fight against his mother for Exor shares. It's not nice.
On the other hand in my opinion here at Stellantis a lot of concessions are being asked and pushed by French Government. Lets not forget that France is one of the 3 major Stellantis...
Disagree.
Sergio got the company in a very bad shape. High interest rates and not so great or very limited cash flow.
For example first dividends by FCA were paid in 2018. Gues when he/Sergio died?
Most developments were already firing under all cylinders under Sergio. A lot was killed or...
