I owned a 1976, silver with a maroon roof and interior. She had a 400 V8, and was the smoothest car I ever drove, never felt a bump or rail road tracks. I was 18 and a senior in HS (1983), and loved that car. Even my girlfriend loved it! Maybe one of the best Mopars I have owned. Sucked gas...
Ok I get your point and get what you are saying. I am 59 and have NEVER owned any vehicle other than a Mopar product. I even have my kids hooked and own 2 antique Mopars. My point was and did state “I want a nice Mopar that doesn’t break down and is affordable. The new Journey and Attitude...
One of the best articles I have read on how the new Charger launch SHOULD have been done!!! This well spelled out plan would have been perfect. What is going on right now is spelling DISASTER!!!
To me, this shows the hatred that European business leaders have towards American businesses and American labor. This is all being done to hurt/spite Americans in the American labor force. By all means, I am not a big fan of the UAW, but this is just totally ridiculous.
Seeing how the Durango shared its platform with the previous Jeep Grand Cherokee, wouldn’t it make sense cost wise and production wise to design the new Durango around the new Grand Cherokee L and continue with it basically the same size and leave it as a 3 row SUV? Why down size it and change...
Apparently, you didn’t get my point. My point was this comment section is from Mopar fans to post things. What they miss about the old company, things they’d like to see or things they wish for. We are not all CEOs of car companies. We’re not know it alls we are car collectors in loyal to the...
oh gee, I wish I was so freaking perfect as you. When I think of the ram truck I think of a truck full size whether to 1500, 2500 or 3500. I apologize that I forgot the full size van.
As for Dodge, I did say couple vehicles if you read my comment. They’re down to one Charger two and four-door...
Love the line ups Bill. Almost like the old days. The biggest problem now for Chrysler/Dodge and Ram they are one vehicle brands for the most part. Can’t exist on one brand per division. Your line up gives us what the old Chrysler did. More vehicles.
Not sure what he’s thinking? The whole problem or at least with the American Mopar brand is stale product and lack of new product. They finally updated the charger, but they left the gap in between the old one and the new one that was a big mistake on their part. Failing to replace the classic...
I really think we’ll have the same results here if we sold the Rampage. Ram loyalist really want a smaller pick up in the 1500. Now that the classic is gone, this would be a great replacement. Ram really needs to build and sell the Rampage for the US in Canadian markets.
Build it and they will come. Although Mexico is a smaller market and a poorer market than the U.S. and Canada, they are showing if you build what people want, they will buy it.
The U.S. Dodge market needs an mid-sized SUV the size of the Journey, a mid-size car like the Attitude and a small Ram...
He is a tip. Cut prices a few thousand per vehicle to move them out. Let’s be honest, with the storm that just ravaged the south, they are going to need to replace a lot of vehicles. The poor folks are going to need transportation. Getting a new/replacement vehicle will be faster than...
You maybe right, but Shawn is the mouth piece for the UAW and when he speaks as president, he speaks for the UAW. Although he may support her, and most members will be voting MEGA, the public reading/watching the news see the UAW as backing her.
Bob, I don’t know if you can update the story. It is 17 September and I saw a new posting online regarding this. It says the new Durango will officially be called the stealth and it will be smaller than the current Durango. It will only be a five passenger SUV. Do you have any information...
Bill, I agree with you 100%. I do understand electric is the way we’re going, even though I hate it and I probably won’t buy one. At my age of a young 59, I’ll probably be dead before there’s no more gas engines left out there. But with that being said, I think Dodge dropped the ball on this. I...
Who cares it’s made in China. 50% of the stuff we buy in our homes and what we are wearing is made in China. I want a nice Mopar that doesn’t break down and I can afford. I also want looks. This and the New Journey (for Mexico) look absolutely stunning!!!
I agree with both you and Bill on ALL engine options. As the owner of a Jeep, we do not go four wheeling in the woods but you bring up a GREAT point with your comment. I would say about 50% of Jeep owners, maybe more, (the others are soccer moms and large families) do go off roading, and your...
