1- I guess they were able to figure out the electrical architecture on the Ram, since Tim said the Ram LCI architecture won’t support the HEMI.
2- I would not be surprised if HEMI finds its way into the new Charger.
3- Also, I would not be surprised if the 392 version and other variants follow.
I do like the concept of Parallel-Series hybrid concept.
The idea is to switch from one to another upon the need.
You can use the hybrid for efficiency and you can use it for extra power.
The technology is there and has been offered on the smaller Jeeps with the 4Xe models.
So I don’t think it’s difficult to have in any of the STLA Large products if the platform support the technology.
It’s even better, IMO, than the pure EV crap.
Hurricane X is a crate engine.
When it is certified for the street, how much will it be defined.
AMG is an example. A soulless high horsepower I4 wasn’t selling. So, they are coming back with I6 and V8 for their new coupe.
You can have a higher horsepower on paper, but at some $$$, some people...
I’m not a fan of EV but I don’t mind the business reason behind having them.
But what annoys me is the sudden and complete shift to EV without regard of multiple key factors, and when you fail and/or the business case fail, you are then stuck with losses
I’ll say it again what was the percentage of the failure?
Yes they were common on the forums and blogs.
And as you said, Hellcats were “popping” their engines because of bad operation and not design.
TBH, I want the V8 to return but not without improvements or redesign.
You can just step backwards and bring back a discontinued engine with the same design.
Do I want a big displacement V8? Not necessarily.
Do I see it coming? I hope so with the current management change.
And you can’t abandon the other half of the consumers and the other 48 states for 2 liberal states.
What happened when these 2 states and %50 of the consumers who wanted and already got their EV?
Sales slumped hard and automakers started running with their tails between their legs.
The better...
I’ll work with your examples of Jeep and Dodge.
She could have pitched a platform sharing with either Charger, Hornet, Avenger or Wagoner S. Those examples that came to my mind.
But we keep only seeing EV minivans and both, EV or Minivans, are either saw a market switch, I.e. minivans, or didn’t...
Chris Fuel needs to leave Chrysler as well. She had only 2 products when she came and only 1 now. She only since her arrival kept showing vaporware with nothing coming into reality.
She’s relying on a strategy that shown to be flawed and apparently she has no backup plan.
It’s not only the regulations. It’s also the Koreans whom became major players since the start of the millennium.
America’s Big 3 are good when it comes to large cars, full size SUVs and pickups.
But the Japanese and Koreans are dominating every other segment, which are more than 60% of the...
