A: has more torque than the V6, pulls around the heavy brick just fine
B: the only reason the past charger was narrow was Brampton, will be lighter minus the battery
Canadian Nationalism is good, but USA nationalism is bad. Got it. If we are going to throw around losely the bundle of Twigs label we might want to go policy by policy about which cross boarder government leans harder that way. Likely though that discussion doesn’t belong here.
I personally...
It’s the durable V8 myth.. V8 Charger was never the volume. The Truck Hemi doesn’t have a durability reputation, the Truck Coyote doesn’t, and certainly not LT. Hemi is on many list of highest cost to own. And a decade ago the potency was worth it. Outside the Hellcat the engine just is...
I think there a long way from being capacity constrained in Winsor. The EV is already constrained by the battery anyway. Personally, I don't think AWD Hemi and Hurricane would every use up the capacity. The only way the Capacity gets used up is RWD 2.0Ts. The Hemi was NEVER a volume driver...
Unless your posing, doing a burn out, running a street take over .... the time on the Slip sheet is way more important exhaust note. People tend to forget, the fastest track mopar, and still one of the fast production track cars ever made sounded like a misfiring tractor with its odd firing V10.
Italians have a special talent in making a straight turbo sound good, Some here a equating loud with here...
What is funny is for all the it sounds horrible talk... other places they are debating on whether is actual has a V8 in it.
So on one end you have people so pre-bias that they say it...
look operationally under Carlo the Company was a disaster that they haven't recovered from, but nearly as bad has been the Marketing. It not that people don't want the Hurricane... they haven't been sold on it. It similar to how no one explained what the Hornet was... it like take what we feed...
Pretty funny when V6 Chargers outsold the Hemi charger 2 to 1. Do people just like to make spit up?
And as it is Challenger V6 outsold the Hemi... and that shocks the heck out of me but it was closer to even.
Its putting ones own preference into the grand market. Most people don't want to be...
Mostly because aside from the Hellcat, the Apache and Eagle are not competitive in the marketplace in anything other the dBs. And while Ford and GM still offer V8s it is not in volume. At the moment GM likely wishing they hadn't.
The reality is Hemi buyer is a passionate and loud niche market...
If you mean Hellcat.... yes .... if you mean Eagle and Apache? I guess they better get used to hearing the more muted exhaust and taillamps. The Outlaw will never hear the "Hemi" from so far behind.
:P
I guess bystanders can enjoy it as it goes buy slowly. AWD and More horsepower means gone...
I want one .... but I really want it with the Hybrid ZF.
Lot of complaining about the sound but I think it sounds pretty good, Phone mic, long distance. Turbo are always more muted, I like a more bubbly sound but it louder than the truck for sure. Apache is one of the best sound engines ever...
