Fiat 500 axed in North America

Why does it have to go BOF? Could be a "Fiat Toro" for the US, the new Dakota that has been rumored - only it will slot in slightly under the current primary midsize trucks. Not saying its likely.

We Get Some Time With The New Ram Multifunction Tailgate:

Yes. Actually when it first deputed it was on a rambox truck and the belief was it would only be offered with ramboxes initially. Picture above is with ramboxes as well. FYI - Standard bed trucks with the tailgate get brackets added to the front of the box

Dodge Introduces 50th Anniversary Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Daytona:

This is one of the more disappointing things Dodge has done in recent memory. Obviously all 2020 chargers could (should) have had 717 then if it is just a minor tweak to tuning. So they left all 2020 at 707 just to make this sticker package seem more "special" with 717? And the meat of the...

CAUGHT: 2021 Jeep® Grand Cherokee (WL) On Public Roads:

I think it depends on the vehicle. Looked at a 3500 mega cab longhorn with the 12" and it didn't seem big at all. In the 1500s it seems plenty large tho. 10" will be nicely sized in GC

    What is SRT working on...?

All electric - not for me. Hybrid - sure

    What is SRT working on...?

Hard to ask for a performance vehicle without accepting a performance (premium) fuel requirement. Unless you just want SRT looks.

    MDS

Which vehicle? MDS is not noticeable on my durango so i let it do its thing. MDS is noticeable on my Ram. I simply use the steering wheel gear select buttons and select 8th. MDS deactivates

FCA NV Q2 2019 Press Release

Annual sales of 500k in the recent past would have required saltillo to run 250 if warren can only run 250 which would be a 50/50 split roughly HD vs LD which we know isn't true. I'm sure Warren may have been running around 250k back in 2009.

FCA NV Q2 2019 Press Release

CNBC's take on Mike Manley | General Mopar Discussion From this thread, Warren is 575k and outdated, SHAP is 700k and brand new. Those numbers have to be max (3 shifts). Complete guess that SHAP is running 1 shift close to max capacity if current sales are 1/3rd 5th gen, 1/3rd classic, 1/3rd...

FCA NV Q2 2019 Press Release

High advertised rebates are yes - just get people in the door. Average incentive spending and ATP across a brand is more important to watch - which is why i'm not concerned because they both increase the same. If ATP had dropped or stayed constant with new HDs coming online in Q2 I'd be worried...

FCA NV Q2 2019 Press Release

I would have rather seem them slightly decrease Ram incentive spending (like they did Q1) but the % increase in incentive spend was about the same as the % increase in ATP so I'm not too concerned. FCA: Ram Pickups Likely Buoy Q2 Financials - Cox Automotive Inc.

FCA NV Q2 2019 Press Release

"Under inventoried of RAM" - that's saying something, considering June was a 68k pickup month. Would be nice to know what specific ram he is talking about (commercial HD vs vans vs light duty). That combined with the comment on updating the classic is wild. I'd assumed classic would be ended in...

    5th Gen 1500 RAMBOX for 6'4" bed

Different beds currently. 2500/3500 is mostly a 4th gen bed still. 1500 is 5th gen.

Should Dodge//SRT Bring A Mid-Engine Supercar To Market?

Until there are 20,000 on the road just like it....maybe 60k on the road in 3 yrs? Then not so special anymore, just like all the other base model corvettes. Viper will always be special to me

Should Dodge//SRT Bring A Mid-Engine Supercar To Market?

I look at the base mid-engined corvette the same way i look at any other base model corvette - something I'd never want to own. There will be nothing special about it in 3 years

Watch An All-Electric Ford F-150 Prototype Tow 1.25 Million Pounds:

Probably 20,000 lbs or less, as evident by the use of what looks like a standard 30k lb rated tow strap. https://www.arema.org/files/pubs/pgre/PGChapter2.pdf Bearing starting resistance per this old document was 30 lb/ton, which comes to 18,750. Who knows how much improved these bearings could be.

Oh Mary, RAM beats Silverado & Sierra COMBINE in June sales!

    What is SRT working on...?

The platform isnt ideal for charger/challenger, but parts of the architecture/design will be. I think its silly to view the FCA brands as isolated towers each developing their own thing. Auto manufacturers don't re-make the wheel every time they come out with "new" stuff. I bet next gen...

    What is SRT working on...?

Isn't the next grand cherokee going to have some gorgio bits/architecture? So why wouldn't we expect next charger/challenger to have guilia bits/architecture?
