Side note - any reason why its crickets so far on moparinsiders, allpar, and stellpower regarding cummins recent (Feb 14th) announcement of 6.7 gas motor coming about 2024? Some other outlets already connecting dots it will be coming to Ram HD. Article coming by chance @redriderbob ?
I had read a rumor that possibly classic was staying around 1 year after STLA frame comes along, which my assumption was 2024 warren becomes "STLA frame" for BEV option (which is relatively minor updates to current wagoneer frame per the images provided of the BEV frame compared to wagoneer...
Not if F-series continuous to drop, like they have been. But if warren does the Ram BEV = 3 plants
Is SHAP running 3 full shifts? How about Saltillo for the HD and reg cab classics?
Baby steps?
I've got this strange way of thinking, but personally I do not want to just go from V8 to turbo V6 for my next vehicle, but I would go from V8 to hybrid+turbo.
In other words, I don't want to lose V8 sound/feel for a possible 10% efficiency gain - that alone not worth it. I don't...
In previous dives using recall data, I was getting near a 30/30/40 split between them (classic/5th gen/HD). But that was a couple years ago. Recently, as Warren was down some of last year for wagoneer prep, i believe there have been less and less classic sales, and it may be a 20/40/40 split or...
Real question is can RAM maintain the trajectory or hold #2 position once the 4th gen goes to pasture in 2023. Or are they content to be profitable and go back to #3 brand?
When you've got Ford stumbling over themselves in the monthly sales report, trying to combine F-series+ranger+maverick...
If you combine GMs total trucks sales, no - not new.
What is new is Ram being within 13,500 of F-Series YTD.
Historically, Ram hasn't been much over 50% the sales of Fseries. Until 2019 when 5thgen+classic+HD / 3truck plants existed.
GM was up in HD trucks, tahoe, suburban, yukon, escalade.
Ford has gone to celebrating futures sales it seams (50k retail orders received, in-transit up in march relative to feb). So it will be interesting how their next few months are. They also tried combining the maverick and ranger sales...
W/GW are not complete offerings yet, like the competition they are selling against. But they also aren't going for sales volume - that would be the durango if one ever comes out of warren.
Money is being spent on charger and challenger revamp - coming soon.
Durango as is pretty good but not...
GW outsold Navigator.
W almost outsold Expedition.
W/GW combined close to Escalade.
Explorer not doing well while GC L doing well. Durango not as bad as i'd expect with the GC L around.
Somethings off in the chart or article. Article states promaster +27 chart shows promaster -14%
Edit - I guess it does clarify retail +27%. Which means very few promasters sold to retail. Supports my view that promaster sales are low compared to transit due primarily to the passenger/family van...
This is a disappointment. Didn't the CEO just say how hybrid is actually better/cheaper a few weeks ago?
Unless there will be some very rapid charging options in the very near future spread all over the country, and i'm talking <15 minutes to go from 10-20% up to as near as 100% that full BEVs...
I chose a scout traveler b/c of 3rd row seat over the ramcharger, bronco, and blazer. It would have been sweet if dodge had a 3rd row SUV like this from that era, but would have been a stretched ramcharger more likely. .
Artist did a nice job.
Fast forward to today, heres to hoping theirs a...
392 has to be coming to the gladiator, considering the ranger raptor coming in 2023 (though it only has 392 hp). would not be surprised if this is prequel to a factory "xtreme recon" 392 gladiator. Question is if jeep steals US ranger raptor thunder and launches just ahead of it in 2023, or eats...
Hard to tell if we should scale off Ram 144.5 WB or Wagoneer 123" WB (up-side-down in image below) but either work and would indicate the frame is possibly more flat under the cab (doesn't drop down as much) but more uniquely it is flat rear of the cab (doesn't angle back up like ram and...
