Dodge Releases First Photos Of The Next Gen Dodge Charger!

This spring I will cross-shop the Mustang GT convertible with the BMW Z4 M40i convertible with the manual transmission. I will be in no hurry keeping an eye on the next Charger/Challenger because my mind is open to the idea of a turbo H6.

Scallop doors and fake exhaust sound are unimportant.

So does LB49 stand for 4 door Charger and LB29 stand for 2 door Charger or Challenger?

If I ran Dodge there would be the large two and four door Charger, a smaller and lighter two door Challenger, a Miata fighter and a Hot Hatch. BEV, PHEV, V8, I6 and 4 cyclinder power. I'd hire you two guys and we'd all be out of a job in 24 months with Dodge in bankruptcy.

So does LB49 stand for 4 door Charger and LB29 stand for 2 door Charger or Challenger?

I'm in the camp that believes the Charger remains a four door, since that experiment mostly worked, the two door remains Challenger because you don't leave the IP dormant anymore.

SHOW STOPPER: 1970 Dodge Challenger "Mercenary" Convertible

Fail, the materials may have been crap but the E-body interiors to include the rally gauge cluster were art to look at.

Chrysler Firepower Concept - The HEMI® V8-Powered GT Car

They really left two probable hits and positive image builders on the cutting room floor, Firepower and the 300 HEMI C convertible. Real game changers, I want to go cry.

Dodge Could Offer Two Drastically Different Versions Of Its Next-Gen Muscle Cars!

I'm going to hold off on getting hosed by dealership markups. I'll see what this Hurricane 6 is all about. My taste runs HEMI, 340, 360, yadda-yadda but I remember GM fans warming to a black Buick in the 80's. Mean time I'll pick up a Volare in CA and drive it to FL for my kicks.

AUCTION: One-Of-None 1970 Plymouth Barracuda 4-Door Sedan Goes Up For Auction

The A-pillar and roof where the windshield meets looks like shade-tree mechanic level.

I am hearing they are rethinking the end of the V8 for Charger/Challenger

V8 engines aside, the other two important ingredients in the Challenger recipe were retro good looks and large cabin/trunk room. I've rented Camaro and Mustang, only Challenger is the one I have chosen to live with.

    Dodge’s Next-Gen Hurricane-Powered Muscle Cars Look To Out-Power Mustang!

That is not entirely true. The OE like this direction they're being pushed in.

    Dodge’s Next-Gen Hurricane-Powered Muscle Cars Look To Out-Power Mustang!

So when will we see this new lighter, more powerful, better looking, still with more than ample cabin and trunk space, Hurricane engined Challenger?

    EV demand crashing

We're not ready for mass abandonment of ICE yet. Some of the OE better figure that out before it gets too late. CARB mandates today don't mean they can't be rescinded tomorrow.

There may be no "law" but you do recognize the power of CARB mandates on the industry, no?

CEO Discusses How The Stellantis Is Dealing With Issues Moving Towards Electrification

Now that the doom and gloom has been stated, accurately I'd say. It is not too late yet. First glimmer of hope, a large number of states almost automatically follow CARB of CA. That is not happening this time, too many governors and state legislatures recognize the issue of prematurely banning...
