Also, is the sedan market shrinking?
It certainly appears to be shrinking?
Or, are other car makers surrendering their non-viable sedans and coupes to Char-llenger?
Sergio said that the market is moving to suv/cuv, but he added that the sedan/coupe market was moving to “specialized”...
Moving the Charger to a two door would be building a niche vehicle for a very select minority (folks who don’t want a Challenger two door, and do want a Charger two door). The market would soon be satisfied, and then sales would tank. The cost of development of a two door Charger would not be...
My 2008 Dodge, Ram, 2500, four door, 8 foot bed, with a roll cover, with a heavy assed liftgate, with an additional 800 pound load of tools and parts, with the 5.7 and the auto, got 12 miles per gallon.
It got 12 mpg going uphill, into wind, towing, on 88octane crappy ethanol gas in heavy...
I’d say an enormous amount of the fault can go to the drag slicks on the first/gray car.
The second/orange car appears to be using drag radials.
Yes, it will be interesting to see what SRT says.
You can’t rule out abuse, nor can you say it’s not outright failure. Likely it’ll be a...
Is the truck 426 DOA?
No
“They are examining their options”
1) They are waiting for Ford to annnince the output and efficiency of their new 7.3 /OHV truck V8.
2) The 426 Truck will be made more powerful because Mopar.
3) The Chally will get it first.
4) The Chally 426 will share little...
Hydrogen, for now, is a total non-starter. The research money for motive power/mobile energy storage is almost completely going into batteries, and the majority of that into solid state electrolyte lithium.
The solid state sodiums are next level intriguing, but those are quite a ways off.
Right now the rush is on. Each country wants to corner this market. The research is almost 100% paid for by US firms and agencies, but every single country is paying big money to try to be the first to market with it.
I know right?
Elon Musk vowed that by 2022 Tesla batteries would retain 97% of their original seigniorage capacity for the life of the car-25 years.
John B. Goodenough (invented LI-Ion chemistry) says that his teams chemistry is good for 50 years, with a 60% weight reduction, 200% energy...
Don’t worry, though the battery technology is largely there, the plant capacity is still a ways way.
All of these new electric cars will need the new battery chemistry now coming online, and the ability to produce the chemistry in mass quantity just doesn’t exist yet.
The absolute bleeding...
I heard this was to be FMR, not RMR as indicated by the picture. The 8C has always been a Front-Mid Mounted Rear drive car.
Currently, Mopar Insiders sources have this as FMR, assembly line built, unknown engine, rear wheel drive, two seat coupe/convertible/spider. The engine is could use...
If that B pillar, and a chopped windshield made production that would be cool.
Could somebody do a render of this interior, B pillar, and windshield on a regular Challenger? Or remove the skis, and put the doors and wheels back onto this one. Maybe raise the windshield a tad bit—closer to...
It is one heck of a concept vehicle.
I am wondering if we are looking at design concepts for a next gen open topped Challenger?
It would be far from the first time FCA has hidden a new vehicle in plain site.
I aint sayin’, I’m just sayin’, you know what I’m sayin’?
There is a ton of stuff coming. that is not in doubt. What we are saying is that all that info is available here. I believe earlier in this thread there are folks working to consolidate that data, and put it into news blogs on YouTube, like this guy is doing.
FCA goes in fits and spurts for...
