Over at 5th Gens I have an ongoing debate with myself about this. The 1500 is real close, but at huge compromise, the 25OO has room to spare. I do not advise nor agree with people who work their truck at limits.
I use my trucks all the time. 1500 just can't compete...although I am trying...
Exactly why my 2013 Cummins is gone and a 6.4l hemi will be replacing it very soon.
Just can't justify it. I will be towing at the 10000lb mark at best, payload is more important, and the shorter trips I do warrent me making the switch.
Cool article though
I just had a similar route on my trip planner the other day. I am aching for a long road trip.
Better get packed so you can hit the road...
If you decide to go keep us posted and enjoy yourself.
Sounds awesome to me
Not able to attend this year, but I see there are a few campgrounds near by. Picked one for reference and it is 7hr 1 min from me. Hmm, why did I think it was farther. Maybe in 2 years this can be a trip we take.
This is an awesome event that Dodge and Roadkill do.
Can't wait for your...
A local guy has a 95 Dodge Ram 2500 that he turned into a 2017 Powerwagon clone. Looks awesome. I know I am in the minority...but I really like the RAM on the tailgate, and I have seen quite a few 3rd Gens with this on the tailgate, so it must have been recieved fairly well.
It really looks...
Well,well,well. Although I hate to hear the ford v10 dies...makes a dodge or ram v10 less likely...a 7.0l v8 in a HD ford...may lend way to a 7.0l v8 in a Ram...off to dream land I go
Yes, great job @Ryan.
It would be neat if the Powerwagon would get a whole different hood like the new Rebel.
Can not wait to see what they do engine wise. Good times

This guy has an awesome job. I love roadtrips. We used to do them all the time, but this makes all my memories seem so boring.
This would be a great time
It was also Hurst nationals at carlisle with chrysler. A smaller show, but there were alot of new GSS Hurst cars at chrysler Carlisle. A woman was telling another couple all about the process for hers. Didn't get a pic of it but hers was black and gold. Kinda cool too
Awesome. Thanks @redriderbob. All the stuff is awesome.
This is just like the crosshair debacle, this in no way takes from the Demon. It just makes the scat pack the awesome historical car Club it used to be.
The only thing near as cool is the Rapid Transit System, but Plymouth is dead.
I will take that as confirmation they are making a 1320 Ram 6.4l hemi...then the 6.2l TRX...and then the Ram Redeye...and then the 7.0l Powerwagon...I kid I kid.
But if I was in the market (tempting myself to be) this is hands down what I would have. 1320 Scat PacK Challenger, color to be...
