For some, but according to FCA's last report, they incurred charges hundreds of millions of Euros because . . . buyers did not opt for the more fuel efficient vehicles.
$77 Million in charges from the US alone for the same reason.
It isn't buyer/public demand that is driving this. It is...
I'm not doubting the direction of the manufacturers, that is already apparent and some are already on roads. Where I disagree with the broader consensus is this blind assumption that buyers are as enthusiastic about it as the projections and predictions would seem to indicate. People keep...
YOU may not have doubts.
Others do.
There may be no doubt that car makers are adding electrification, but there is ample doubt about John Q Public choosing electric over ICE.
Other people are making predictions. I am referring to empirical fact.
So far, after almost a quarter of a century of...
"There is no doubt that the entire auto industry will be switching to a gas/electric powertrain combination on most vehicles within the next decade."
There is no doubt that is the consensus, but let's see how sales uptake progresses on these things before declaring the shift to electricification...
I’m not sure but I believe such incentives are generally one month deals on current model year cars. That said, the economy is expected to struggle and the incentives will continue as long as the markets require these adjustments to keep inventory from piling up.
I suspect FCA anticipates contraction in sales commensurate with expected market contraction. I like this strategy. It puts a positive spin on an unpleasant reality, justifies a new ad campaign and puts Dodge back in the headlines. The savings are significant for those not particularly well...
There may be equivocation on the word "compete". Vehicle performance is competitive, but it won't be competing with the same customer base. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mclaren, Bugatti, et al are cars for people who have money to show off. It isn't always about technical performance, but - mine...
Much has changed since those days, so any engineering done would be old news by now. Perhaps some conceptual similarities, but no actual data points.
I would like to see Mopar take it to Chevrolet on the Supercar side of things. GM is going to sell a LOT of Corvettes. They went the opposite...
There may be other announcements. The "sources" mentioned three, but only two were unveiled today. I suspect the top speed came down due to increased drag from the body panel modifications. Can't have that both ways, unfortunately (not that anybody gets close to 200 mph in their Charger -...

SPOTTED: 2021 Ram Rebel TRX Caught Wearing Laramie Longhorn Fascia: - Mopar Insiders
Yes, I liked that!
;)
Didn't get to it right away though. Busy, busy, busy.
If you ever get the chance to write a book - don't.
I've found it a challenge to find threads I was looking for pertaining to articles and thread duplicity exacerbates that issue.
I would link every article to the forum thread specific to that article so that the two are forever linked. That makes it much easier to find what one is looking for...
There is also the Speed Trap Dodge Durango Pursuit thing. Maybe they have lots of plans for the Redeye - updated Trackhawk, Durango, and possibly stuff it in the TRX?
In a town hall several weeks ago when Mike Manley mentioned the TRX following the Ram, he interrupted himself to ask someone...
Market uncertainty isn't helping things - FCA got hit with a $77 million fine because customers chose to buy fuel inefficient vehicles.
The march toward 50 mpg CAFE ratings is gelding the entire industry. The projections that led to those decisions were way wrong and have not materialized. The...
I'm rather late to this thread, but from public statements made by Mike Manley, I would have guessed an increase in hybridization. While it does not appeal to me as a long time fan of the v8 roar, that seems to be the direction in which things are being pushed . . . That said, if they were to...
