Well, what people like sells. From the looks of all the SUV’s and trucks on the roads today, people are willing to take a hit on fuel economy.

The Carnival is a smart move towards the trend of not owning a “minivan”. Seems to be taboo to people today. Anything that makes sense, it seems the population hate. The sliding door track is a mind boggler for sure. Maybe people don’t mind it?

Just rename it and be done with it. The company itself has changed it’s name more times than you can shake a stick at. Nobody was smart enough then just to leave the name “Chrysler”. If it’s not already used, call it Jeep Freedom & Jeep Grand Freedom.

Just be done with it. Drop the name for the next model year and change it to Freedom & Grand Freedom.

I’d take the look of the Sorry to tell you but affordability was the name of the game in Chrysler minivans and definitely volume. If anybody is interested in posh styling and quality, they’d better head over to Toyota or Honda.

Talking to local dealers, people hate the look & the price of the Pacifica. While the “Dodge Grand Caravan” is still available to order, they said they won’t be ordering any Pacificas. I’d like to believe the ugly Voyager/GC will even copy the sales of the DGC. Time will tell.
