Better question is will people pay $100-120K for a dodge over the kia with similar power for less than half? They have to launch into a new generation with these silly prices which will not be easy on top of axing V8's and switching to EV and turbo 6's.
Dodge is going to take a pretty serious...
The new cars were to come out in 2018 but they got delayed/axed. I think the giorgio car he was talking about may have been the barracuda they showed dealers back in 2013 (rejected by dealers). They probably had a mocked up challenger and charger as well. They showed a new charger to dealers...
Some interesting interviews on the subject

I love V8's, I daily drive one, but how many people would line up for a next generation $100K hellcat that gets beaten by mundane EV's? Not many. And Dodge knows that. The TRX cant even outrun a base model Lightning and its only going to get worse.
Highway MPG could have been even better with the 7L because it would stay in 4cyl mode longer. I am sure the 3.0L will be better overall depending how much boost it makes, which I assume will be a lot. But at even 15psi it'll burn the same amount of fuel as a 6.0L V8, and its probably over 20psi.
The 500hp 5.0L is only in a limited model, and I am pretty sure they will match the H.O with the new ZF8 that has the 320hp motor in it, now its 830~HP which IMO would be the new scat pack. Banshee would be the full EV purely to sack the Tesla plaid that runs 9.20's. It will very likely be an...
I was told the H.O 3.0L killed the 426. The small bump in cubes from 392 to 426 is likely what the hemi needed to produce the same 510 hp NA, which sounds crazy when you see what ford just did with the 5.0L in the dark horse. But before that even the 7.0L LS7 only made 505hp and the only NA V8...
I'll be optimistic and say its a hastily done concept that used a Wrangler as the basis, big time. The boxy off roader from EV day looked nothing like it
If the Hornet is the success I think it'll be, it wont be long before it ends up being built over here, probably Mexico, the margin on that thing currently comes from the Italian gov't.
Just announced they will make a special send off edition, and it got me thinking. What is the rarest 300 edition they made? 2010 300 S6 and S8? The 13/14 John Varvatos (the nicest one IMO), the 300 SRT Core. What says you?
