The all-new 2026 Jeep® Cherokee (KM), originally positioned as a North American-exclusive model, may already be on Stellantis’ short list for a broader global role. Even before the midsize SUV hits U.S. dealerships, Jeep is preparing to show it off in Brazil this November, using the upcoming São Paulo International Motor Show 2025 (Nov. 22–30) as a real-world test to measure consumer response.

Good decision. I thought the North America only Cherokee policy short sighted and now, so does Jeep. I hope this decision precedes other Cherokee decisions like a gasoline powered Cherokee, likely the new Hurricane four coming to the 2026 Grand Cherokee. Let’s give the Cherokee all the variants it needs to not only succeed in North America, but globally. If it is good as it is advertised, why not share the wealth with everyone and by the way, make more profits. When will they get in showrooms already ?

Local dealers have KMs showing online up as "being built" now. Seem to all be Limited in white, black & blue, with and without the sunroof option.

Local U.S. dealers? How is this possible? Thought these were being built along side the new Compass at Belvedere in 2027 when that plant reopens?

The spec sheet from the press kit states, "Toluca Assembly Plant, Mexico." The Compass is still built there, but it's the older generation. The Wagoneer S is built on the Large platform like the Cherokee and also is built in Toluca.

Building the KM Cherokee in Mexico allows Jeep an easy entrance into Brazil. It also allows the Wagoneer S and Recon easy access into Europe. Because of the tariff situation the Cherokee will probably have option choices restricted until Belvedere is fully operational. The new Compass will likely show up at that point as well.

I doubt the Cherokee will show up in Europe because the EU overlords are still hellbent on outlawing IC engines. That is why Jeep will be exporting the Wagoneer S and Recon models to Europe and not the Cherokee.

Prepare to be outraged if Brazil receives a better IC engine power train that what we get.

I’m getting prepared. Thanks for a potential heads up on a big no for me on Cherokee hybrid only.
