The NASCAR rumor mill is buzzing again, this time with whispers that Richard Childress Racing (RCR) could be eyeing a partnership with Dodge if the brand makes its long-awaited return to the NASCAR Cup Series.

With Ram set to return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2026, it’s only natural that talk has shifted to Dodge’s eventual Cup Series re-entry. Fans are already asking the big question: who will carry the Dodge banner at the sport’s highest level?

It is generic to the Dodge brand to compete in motor sports. Racing cars, is deeply rooted in the human psyche, and some of us draw pleasure and satisfaction in watching cars go fast. As a retired college professor that taught education psychology and behavior modification techniques to graduate students I am well versed in the methods of evoking responses with certain cues and motivations. Racing is the stimulus that gives life to Dodge and Dodges competing is an instrument of orchestrating desired responses, namely, going out and buying a fast Dodge. WOW, look at old Willy spouting that psycho babble !
Ergo, it’s generic, Dodge MUST go racing.
Gentlemen, start your Hemis !
