Meet The Twin-Turbo 2026 Dodge Charger R/T and Scat Pack

Meet The Twin-Turbo 2026 Dodge Charger R/T and Scat Pack

Dodge Brings The R/T and Scat Pack Names Back To ICE Power

Dodge didn’t just show up to this year’s Roadkill Nights in Pontiac, Michigan—they dropped the hammer. As tire smoke fills the air and engines roar along Woodward Avenue, the brand has just pulled the wraps off its all-new internal combustion-powered 2026 Dodge Charger R/T and Scat Pack. And no, they’re not electric. These new muscle machines run on pure, high-octane attitude, each one powered by a beastly twin-turbo 3.0-liter HURRICANE inline-six (I6)—now branded as the SIXPACK.

I consider this car to be similar to the 2011-2014 charger, you'll see them around, sales will be ok, but they will not be as popular as the later 2015+ batch.

It won't be as popular until the 2.0 is offered. Lost in the noise that if Charger lived on V8 sales alone it would have been cancelled long ago. Despite what people think here. 2/3 all sales were NOT the performance option.

Well aware but the V8's paid dividends for the Charger brand appeal and Dodge as a whole. Take the V8's and the performance image out of the equation and we're trying to sell a Dodge Intrepid again. We all know how the Dart, 200 and Avenger did.

The new Scat pack should be an updated 500hp 392 + the electric ZF8 = 714hp and no CAFE fines built into the MSRP

The Charger…
Hemi vs Pentastar 2011-2023

The Charger would have not survived on the Hemi sales alone.
The Charger would have been an updated Intrepid with out the Hemi

Truth is, they needed both for sales survival, and they still do!!! One hand washes the other!!!

Hemi drove traffic just like Viper. But the PentaStar drove sales….. At this point the Eagle and Apache won’t drive traffic… They are pedestrian at best, embarrassing at worst.

SRT Hellcat for sure… Demon sure. Apache was a good soldier. Eagle for sure has no place now. Maybe Apache in Jeeps and Trucks. ZF should he paired with the Hurricane…..

Really good what is sad is Mopar is hopelessly behind ….. REVs are going to flood the market. Quicker, more durable, ice engine can be lazy, great fuel mileage, long range….

The Hemi is a boat anchor to the Company.

It should have been phased out organically, not abruptly, I have said that.

With proper marketing…… if the Charger doesn’t get 2.0t Hybrid or REV it will die. Hemi or No Hemi

BS on the I6 being more responsive than a high compression V8. I'm done with factory Turbo engines. All makes have severe problems with response in high traffic conditions.

The turbo 6 is always compared with the 15 year old NA Hemis. An aluminum block 426 Hemi would be about 30 lbs heavier than the I6 and would make more power if it had the same Nickasil liners, Direct Inj, DLC pistons, etc but 12:1 compression, makes more HP than the HO I6 and far more responsive.

This engine existed with corporate cousins. V8 are compact for the cubic inches ... they are also tight for intake airflow, and geometry to properly secure the head is difficult, this why straight six is the engine of choice for high load applications. Then you have the complexity that involves 2 valve trains. V8 is inherently imbalanced, also the wave form to drive turbo is more balanced in a i6.

At least I am glad we are moving off it has to be the old drive train. I am really all of the above New V8 and enjoy the I6 for what is is.
