Brampton Plant Workers Growing “Concerned” Over Stellantis Production Pause

Brampton Plant Workers Growing “Concerned” Over Stellantis Production Pause

Months-Long Delay Leaves Thousands In Limbo As Retooling Remains On Hold

Workers at Stellantis’ Brampton Assembly Plant are sounding the alarm. What was supposed to be a short production pause has now stretched into several months, and the automaker still isn’t saying when work will resume.

They should be concerned. They should focus their efforts and concerns on the Canadian government to “get real” and make the trade deal. Our President is winning at every level, cutting deals that benefit Americans, no recession, no inflation and bringing trillions in investments to America and he will never back off his position with Canada. The lower the mutually agreeable tariff rate, the better will be Brampton’s future. Being arrogant and intractable on reality in the Trump new world order Golden Era is plain stupid. Stellantis will likely eat the costs and Brampton will go back to work. Pressure your government or close your doors. Your call.

He signed a new trade agreement with Canada and Mexico during term 1. It was so great according to him. He should be following that agreement and put on his big boy pants and sit down like a normal leader and renegotiate it if he doesn't like it. He should not be imposing tariffs with no rhyme or reason as to the amounts and why.
He is nothing but a schoolyard bully.

Canadian Nationalism is good, but USA nationalism is bad. Got it. If we are going to throw around losely the bundle of Twigs label we might want to go policy by policy about which cross boarder government leans harder that way. Likely though that discussion doesn’t belong here.

I personally encourage a strong independent Canadian economy, stand strong on your own Canada.

Spoken like an ignorant red cap wearing jerk.
It's clear Cheeto Mussolini will only settle for a 15% tariff on Canadian goods. If our Prime Minister agrees to that he won't be PM for more than one term, possibly less.
Ouch ! Such anger and resentment. Obviously you do not understand our enormously popular President’s efforts to realign global economics that are fair and beneficial to the United Sates after decades of weak foreign/economic policy. You even appear to have little knowledge of Mussolini who created a corporate state that promoted a government with a reliance on Private Ownership and Capitalist Principles that had economic benefits in organizational reforms for Italy that sadly, extreme militarism and delusional alliances destroyed. Italy in the 1930s had nothing close to our current foreign or domestic policies, and Trump’s thinking and business acumen should never be confused with El Duce’s madness.
I believe that an opinion based on dramatic successful results should not be met with such anger, even if you disagree with someone, even one wearing, yes proudly, a red cap. Jealousy, nasty comments or, with compassion, uncertain work security possibilities should never fuel ugly emotional written outbursts that do not belong here, nor deserved.
