Ram is doubling down on its commitment to sport truck culture, this time bringing the heat to the heavy-duty segment. For the 2026 model year, two bold new variants will be available: the Ram 2500 Black Express and Ram 2500 Warlock. These new packages join the lineup offering factory-customized looks and serious value for buyers who want muscle and presence in a ¾-ton package.

I'm sorry, but adding new gimmicks isn't going to persuade the average consumer when the prices are beyond their reach. ARE YOU LISTENING RAM? Is it time for direct sale to the consumer in order to cut the MSRP price?

As a Mopar guy I love the Ram and if I was in the market for a P/U, I would land in one.
With that being said, I do not know pricing in the truck market, so I will be asking a stupid question. Members here have been up set that they can’t get into a basic Ram for under $40K. Now that was addressed by Tim last week and that was posted here.
So with that being said can you get into a basic/base Ford 150 or Chevy 1500 for $40K or less? If so how much less than a comparable Ram, and knowing it’s a Ford or Chevy, is the savings worth what those brands offer vs Ram?

That is also because Ford and Chevrolet offer Regular Cab short box trucks.
