dodge journey

worst Mopar I ever owned, I was embarrassed by how bad it was.

If you mean a D Segment CUV .... with 3 rows .... Yes.... if you mean some in sort of just cheap poo as a cheap price... KIA and Mitsubishi have that market cornered.

My dad has over 210,000 miles on his 2012 Dodge Journey Crew and still loves it. Only problem was brakes. He ended up, upgrading to Grand Caravan brakes (like Dodge did in 2013) and it solved all his problems.

That is was serviceable for Father doesn't change the fact that it was a poorly developed and engineered car, that through pure need was made serviceable.

It Mitsubishi brother was a better vehicle and that sad. Comfort, driving dynamics, quality of design, interior, build quality..... all were on par with early 90s Vehicles for Mopar maybe a bit worse.

I bought my out of loyalty, and regretted it.

Oh it had its faults... it was developed in the days of the money-sucking Daimler days. But not all of them are bad. The 2020 model year though... that was tough. They should have revamped it in 2015. It would have been good I think after that. But it was a cash cow. However, most of the people (yourself excluded) say they loved the Journey. I personally would have never bought one and tried talking my dad out of it. But it loved it for the price. He bought it used in 2014 with 23,000 miles on it for $19K. Its been paid off for 6 years and said if he could find another one with low miles for a decent price, he would get another to replace it.
