This past weekend, I made the trip out to the Stellantis Design Cars + Coffee event at the Chrysler Technical Center (CTC) in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Amid all the eye candy on display—from vintage muscle to electrified prototypes—there was one truck that really stopped people in their tracks: the 2025 Jeep® J6 Honcho Concept.

All the Jeep concepts in the video each offer fascinating food for thought. A few weeks ago the SLATE EV pickup went viral and started a conversation about how affordability and simplicity have gone missing in today's auto market. When I look at the J6 concept I can't help but think, what if a few changes are made on this Jeep to create a slightly different blank slate. I had brought up the idea of something smaller before, but the J6 is a size which also would work well. It doesn't need to be battery electric, gas or hybrid like the Wrangler works fine. A blank slate Jeep J6 would't compete with any other Stellantis products in the showroom.
