I always liked the styling of the Jeep Avenger, especially with the 4Xe package chassis enhancements and wheels. The stylists have done an excellent job of using some of those elements on a larger vehicle. They could of ruined it by simply puffing up the Avenger's styling to this size, but this new Compass has its own personality. I look forward to seeing what the North American version will feature.

Now that is a very good looking Jeep, i just hope it does better than the Dodge Hornet once it hits North America.

375 horse power and 2287 torque no one will miss the diesel i am sure, thats twice the torque of the new Cummins in the heavy duty Ram

Very well done inside and out. Please give us a gas powered version for North America. Build it here (Belvedere?)with a Dodge Hornet replacement spin off and we should be good to go with two volume compact SUVs for North America.

If someone didn't see the above video, it needs to be pointed out that this is for the European market. I suspect the Latin American version will still offer the diesel as an option and will offer a different hybrid system to take advantage go the ethanol based fuels down there.

The American version will arrive way too late. I hope the price won't be astronomical like the first edition model in Italy that the article mentions. Our new hybrid system remains a mystery.
