SPOTTED: 2026 Ram 1500 Ramcharger Laramie

Unmistakable R-A-M Lighting and Unique Wheels Gave It Away

Earlier this week, my daughter and I were finishing up a late grocery run when we stumbled upon something totally unexpected in the parking lot. Just a few spots down from our car sat what appeared to be a prototype of the upcoming 2026 Ram 1500 Ramcharger Laramie — and once I spotted the new backlit R-A-M grille logo, I knew exactly what it was.

Very cool!

Are the electric components of this truck, such as the EDMs and the batteries, the same as what is planned for the EV version? Will the EV version have basically the same drivetrain but without the engine and gas tank, or will there be more differences ?

These are cool, I’m slightly interested in the Ramcharger but it’s wholly dependent on pricing.

It looks great, should haul some serious but with over 600hp, and it’s the only viable way that EV’s can be fully integrated for end user.

Man, that’s a cool truck

Truck guys, especially commercial customers, should take the lead on this truck. I’m not a truck guy so this does nothing for me except hoping it does well and consumers are pleased with the purchase. To me it is a bit unusual in its set up and the appeal to the market seems limited.

Will the Ramcharger ICE be completely disconnected from the drive train? Or will there be a clutch mechanism like the Volt had to add power to the drivetrain at high speeds? Other than that it's similar to the Volt.
