So GG is Hornet and Tonale?

What is "Chrysler Group" here? Vehicles of American Stellantis brands plus global vehicles sold in North America?

When will the HD's get a new generation?

FCA did a on the cheap heavy refresh in 2019.

The HD's are big money markers and need a new generation after at least 13 years on the same platform.

ahhhhhhhh Body on Frame vehicles can be constantly improved without changing without radically changing the Cab. A platform is a set of build points.

Ram's biggest competition in GM and Ford both have newer models in the HD segment.

GM and Ford will both remind customers of Ram's aging HD truck.

I hope the not updating product is over with the death of FCA.

These HD's are 15-20k profit per vehicle.

Not building a new generation in this profitable segment is not wise.

They should at least use the new steering wheel buttons instead of the old buttons that are used post-refresh on the HDs

So the constantly improve Chassis even the introduction of Coil Spring suspension. Isn't enough. The constantly improving powertrain... that doesn't matter. It if they completely revise the CAB is what is important to HD truck owners. HMMMM interesting take, when I meet someone that things the same way I will be sure to note it.

One cannot apply Unibody logic to BOF application. With HD trucks you can make changes on the fly.

Also I wouldn't brag about Aluminum Cabs in this segment.... It is NOT a improvement thinner steel is stronger and more durable then the equivalent Aluminum weight component.

So we have a KS now?

Should we add the following to this list?
B6 for Renegade India,
BQ for Renegade China,
JJ for Jeep Avenger,
and European codes?
Is 522 for Renegade in Europe?
520 for Compass Europe?
Does Chrysler/nee FCA NA/now Stellantis NA use FD instead of 334 for the 500X? Same with other vehicles of European origin... I personally don't know and am curious to find out.

Will this convention of 2 letter body codes continue once the Peugeot side gets more integrated with the Fiat and Chrysler sides? They certainly have their own convention. The NA side (Chrysler) certainly brakes the convention when it suites them (Challenger MCU went from LC to LA when there wasn't a platform change, I've heard the 300 called variously LX and LD, the above discussion on the HD Rams keeping the same platform when there's been incremental upgrades throughout the lifecycle such that the 2023 model is a far different vehicle than the 2011 model). And the convention has only been around for a little over 30 years. Previously it was a single letter code until it became inadequate. Maybe now that there's so many brands under the umbrella, 2 letters is no longer adequate. Maybe the concept of "platforms" is no longer adequate since with the new STLA "platforms" like the PSA "platforms" there are so many vehicle types on a single "platform" that it doesn't mean the same thing as the idea in the 20th century.

Master Platform/Body Codes List
Not sure if the 2010-2016 dates are correct. Does the DP code mean built in Saltillo?

Hello,
I am new in the forum and I found this post searching after informations on Google.
I just signed an order for a Jeep Avenger MY24 MHEV (Code JJ according to the list above) and I was wondering if there is a possibility to access the car and code some things.
Since 2015 I use different OBD adapter and program (OBD Eleven and Bimmer Code) for my previous car: Audi S3, Tiguan, BMW 1 series, and BMW 2 Series. I can go inside the unit and change, add, or remove some options, sometimes easily and some times harder with a coding procedure.
I was wondering if something exists for the Jeep Avenger to do the same. What I'm looking for is mainly turn off window lock when you open the door, some dashboard screen change like color or display, led color inside the car, acoustic confirmation when you lock/unlock the car, ... Nothing that has to do with the security or the running parameters.
Can you tell me if this exists for the car and if yes where I can find it?
Thank you all.

JJ was the original Small Jeep they did with Renault but because of power and tire size couldn't make it over the Rubicon. Jeep JJ https://www.hemmings.com/stories/jeep-jj-concept/

Yes, it was. The Avenger was internally called the Jeep Junior in development, so they used the JJ designation. Funny thing was the Alfa Romeo Junior (formerly the Milano) was internally called the Alfa Kid during development.
