Dodge Brings Back AWD Muscle With Next-Gen Charger Lineup

Dodge Brings Back AWD Muscle With Next-Gen Charger Lineup

Unmatched Power and All-Weather Confidence

As a former owner of not one but two HEMI®-powered Dodge Charger R/T AWD cars, I’ve always appreciated the rare combination of muscle car performance and all-weather capability. Living in the Midwest, in the snow belt of Michigan, and driving my Chargers year-round, the idea of an all-wheel-drive (AWD) muscle car is what immediately attracted me to the Charger when I was looking to purchase a vehicle instead of jumping straight into a pickup or SUV.

I am captivated by the Charger and its AWD capability. The Charger I’m really interested in is the SixPack R/T with AWD. Frankly I don’t see a muscle car in the Charger, I see a stunning full size coupe that can replace my SUV. The Charger will give me most everything my SUV has, with excitement and exciting design to boot. I’ll give it a drive and decide. Maybe not either a muscle car or an SUV, but cleverly offering much of both in a beautiful package. That really captivates my interest.

BLUF: How does stellantis expect to sell cars when they don't exist???

This entire website ignores the gigantic white elephant that [is not] in the room. The 2024, 2025 dodge charger in any form what-so-ever simply does not exist. If I search for dodge charger within 50 miles of my house I get maybe 6 hits, and all are "in transit" as they have been for the past 3 months. I have been wanting the 2d for 2 years now. as they announced that there would be a 2024 model, I was at my dealership in October of 2023 looking for it. Here it is March of 2025 and not a single car anywhere in sight.
In january I needed a new car. No 2d chargers (forthwith called a challenger,) in sight. So I googled chevy blazer ev. Within 50 miles of my house no less than 300 models ready for me to test drive, sitting on the lot.

And don't get me started on what they did to the looks of the car.
Now as least I can see what is looks like sort of: and see yet another fking hatchback, suv eater egg shaped car going down the road.

Amazing adding another couple hundred pounds to the 5800 LB monstrosity ? This "car" is a dud that it seems buyer are shunning ! Even with the Hurricane 6 I expect very few buyers ? Putting a Hemi in this SUV sized vehicle will be like putting lipstick on a pig !

Not quite sure where you live, but I've seen it and rode in the Scat Pack Version at the Dealership I work at in PA, plus another dealership nearby has an afterhours blue R/T and there is a dealership in Bel-Air Maryland that has four of them on the lot right now. Looks better in person.

I live in NJ by scranton PA. Within 30 miles of my house I have over 20 dodge dealerships and not a single car is in the lot. By comparison, I looked at the chevy Blazer EV. withing 30 miles there are over 300 cars sitting in the dealers lots.

I'm not sure how many people on here have seen the car in person or not but for those who haven't seen it in person, the car isn't that much different in overall size than an 11-23 Charger. I does have more trunk space but think more Kia Stinger than SUV as far as cargo space goes. The battery pack does make it heavy but I think it helps the ride quality because the car is very smooth and solid feeling. Once they go to the lighter solid state batteries, the EV variant will be a much different car. Seeing the car in person though allows you to see what they did with this car and also the fact that this car carries alot of the coke-bottle shape of the 68-70 Charger. While it's not as aggressive as the 15+ Charger, it's a much nicer car. Here are a few pics I snapped of the car which are alot nicer than most of the ones I've seen so far online

IDK maybe it's just me but I feel like since I've gotten the chance to really see the car and experience what its like, my personal thoughts on it have changed. Yeah, it's a first year car so I expect it to have flaws here and there but I feel like the car is going to get alot better in the next few years both EV and Hurricane. I see a boatload of aftermarket potential for this car so to me it's a decent car. It is different than what was before, but I don't understand the extensive negativity the car is getting. I don't get it.

ok, things have changed!!! there are now a whole 44 actual cars within 50 miles of my house!!!
