Could This Be Dodge’s New NASCAR Cup Car Design?

For years, speculation has swirled about Dodge’s return to the NASCAR Cup Series. Now, a talented graphic designer has brought that vision to life with a striking digital rendering of aDodge Charger SIXPACK stock car built to NASCAR’s Next-Gen (Gen 7) specifications. Turn 4 Graphics (@turn4graphics) has shared a first look at what a modern Dodge Cup car could look like, and the results are stunning.

Be still my racing heart, it’s only a rendering, a tease, a temptation for Dodge people that frankly is mean, mean, mean. Too much for us longing for Dodge on the ovals again. This rendering is too much to endure. Meanies.
Darn, I looked again. There goes my heart, my blood pressure, too much.

It's being reported today, 2/27, Dale Jr. has been talking about Dodges (and Rams) return to NASCAR by 2026 on his podcast. He says he is excited for their return due to their muscle cars and past history. Does he know more than we are being told? Any chance he is or will be one of the new Dodge teams? Any chance Tony Stewart is on Dodges short list due to his current ties with Dodge? Now that Jr is spilling some beans, will we know more sooner rather than later?

Rather they run IMSA

Hey Mike, It's my understanding that Stewart Haas racing is shutting down and won't be competing in NASCAR anymore. They just haven't been competitive the last few years. TSR runs Top Fuel in the NHRA and I think a few occasional Sprint car races. Stewart owns Eldora Raceway and always seems to make an appearance there. The current top teams in NASCAR these days are Penske, Hendrick, Gibbs and a few others. I'm not sure who would want to field Dodges in NASCAR currently. A few names have been mentioned but it is just speculation at this point. With a rumored Days of Thunder 2 in the works from Tom Cruise and Jeff Gordon, now may be a good time to re-enter NASCAR.
And as Triple T mention above, IMSA is a great format with very exciting racing. I'm not sure why it never caught on to the mainstream like NASCAR did. I'm more of a fan of high speed road course racing with semi-stock cars than the spec series that NASCAR has become. The IMSA cars look better, handle better and provide better racing than the NASCAR series cars. But the TV exposure and the big money are in NASCAR. And Dodge has a long and successful history in NASCAR.
