Stevens-Miller Racing’s Dodge Challenger TA2 Entry Is Moving Up In The Standings!

No Factory Support, One Entry, The Challenger TA2 Shows It Can Still Be Competitive...

It’s been a while since we have talked about Trans Am racing. After the No. 40 Prefix/Stevens-Miller Racing (SMR) Dodge Challenger TA2 team, took home the TA2 championship in 2019, the team ditched the Challenger as a full-time race car in 2020. It did return to full-time status in 2021 for one driver and serve as a part-time fill-in for a few others.

Has someone verified that this entry is running the Gen III Hemi this year?

IIRC they could be running the Hemi engine or a GM-based spec engine.

They all run TA2 spec engines from Prefix Corporation...

Thanks.

I'm disappointed they're running the spec engine (which is GM LS based) instead of the Hemi. I personally can't really pull for a GM-engined car.

Prefix does ALOT of engine stuff for Mopars though...
