After the interwebs were filled with false rumors about the Ram Truck brand naming its upcoming full-size electric pickup the “Ram Revolution”, Ram has now pulled the covers off of its “Revolution” name patent that sparked so much controversy in the past week.

The “Ram Revolution” will be an exclusive insider program that fans of the Ram Truck brand can join to keep updated on the progress of the upcoming 2024 Ram 1500 battery-electric vehicle (BEV). That is right, Ram Trucks will keep its “1500” nameplate going forward with its full-size electric pickup.

Hard to tell if we should scale off Ram 144.5 WB or Wagoneer 123" WB (up-side-down in image below) but either work and would indicate the frame is possibly more flat under the cab (doesn't drop down as much) but more uniquely it is flat rear of the cab (doesn't angle back up like ram and wagoneer. Bed is up on stands and may make room for the slide in ramps indicated in that older patent depending on how they mount the spare. Looks to accommodate a shorter bed length, maybe 5 foot? Would then slot under lightning/silverado EV and closer to Rivian size.

Not sure why Mr Koval Jr would indicate Ram has revolutionized only "once". “Launched as a stand-alone truck brand in 2009, Ram revolutionized the pickup truck segment once, and is laser-focused on doing so again with the best electric trucks on the market,” said Mike Koval Jr., Ram CEO. By my count dodge/ram has revolutionized the segment more than once.

Last to market is an advantage as long as it is actually improved over the other EV truck offerings, particularly regarding reduced charging times and range.

Looks Like ram copied Kia’s badge font. It’s strikingly ugly and my first reaction was why would someone slap that on the front of their car?
turns out the factory did it. No accounting for taste I guess. Hope it’s just a placeholder for now, not sure it will grow on me.

I would like a Dakota also, but I for sure not going to pretend I know the ROI or the market implementation of a down market product on overall division profits.

One may need to go to another manufacturer because to this point it hasn't worked out and don't assume that it would be lower cost than a 1500 with it scale. Right now, the corporation has a mid-sized offering in NA and they won't be too keen on cannibalizing it and the 1500

I am guessing the concept truck will be just that a concept. Try to get future ideas for the upcoming BEV trucks. The teasers of the direction of the body appear to be similar to the new Silverado EV. Short front and connected box. Just like the Dodge Ram Rampage concept.
