Here’s a shocking one. Car and driver got 12.7 at 104 out of a 2021 Durango 392.
The Durango 392 weighs almost 650lbs more than the new 2 door Charger I6 HO that runs 12.4 at 114.
Granted .3 and 8mph (especially) isn’t nothing. But neither is almost 650lbs.
But remember the Durango RT 392...
Let the good decisions continue! Clearly the top brass understands their customer base and what drives people into their showrooms.
It certainly won’t be the over complicated, overly expensive and underwhelming I6 providing a halo effect that breeds excitement. They need a new V6 to give a...
At least 200lbs heavier than a Charger Redeye
At least 450lbs heavier than a Scat Pack
Almost 600lbs heavier than a 1320
257hp less than a Charger Redeye in HO form
Only 65hp more than a 2015 392 Scat Pack
I’ll take the EV for a daily driver thanks. And none will replace my Hellcat or Viper...
Fair enough. It only took 11 years for the new technology and new chassis with AWD to do .4 better with the same trap speed. When tires are due for replacement on the 392 it’ll be quicker if you pick the right replacements. But it’s progress off the showroom floor I suppose.
40mph and up rolls...
This was awesome news! Such great pricing. Really giving the people what they want.
My wife has a CPO R/T Blacktop now. Looking likely our next one may be a CPO 26 R/T 392 😆
Wow just saw the official 1/4 mile numbers. It only took 7 years with all the new technology and AWD for the Sixpack to be .5 seconds and 1mph slower that a 2019 Scat Pack 1320.
The progress is staggering.
Clearly the EV is the only way to go with this generation unless they put HEMIs back...
At least the I6 Charger only weighs 4816lbs!
Thats only 216lbs more than a Redeye Charger and only 257hp less. What progress they are making with their bmw engine and new chassis. Thank god it has AWD or it’d have no straight line numbers to tout
Edit: Good thing the 20+ lbs of boost it has...
To repeat, I couldn’t care less what they call it
If it’s V8 and RWD or (even better for me personally) AWD with full rear wheel drive mode… well I’ll be delighted.
I only think it’ll be Cuda because of the website. Simply a hunch
That will be a huge improvement if it ends up, looking like that.
Do that refresh and give it the hellcat treatment! They will sell everyone they can build with the lesser engines with that kind of PR and style.
I think it’ll be this car that’s been hiding in plain sight for a while now.
I think it’ll be the V8 and I think it’ll wear the ‘Cuda/Barracuda name. Whether that means a new car or just a trim who knows.
Reallllllly hoping I’m right on the V8 part. I couldn’t care less what they call it 😂
The 68 is absolutely perfect. Down to the little round side markers vs the big rectangle markers on the 69 and 70 cars.
I do wish the 68 had gotten the 6 pack option and the pistol grip shifter. They were only available in 1970 if I recall correctly.
A12 Charger would have been real cool too!
