There are a lot of upcoming Jeep vehicles to be excited about:

  • Next-generation Grand Cherokee
  • 2019 Renegade
  • Wrangler Pickup
  • Three-row Grand Cherokee
  • Cherokee Deserthawk
  • Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer
Which one are you looking forward to the most and why? Let us know by voting and commenting!

That's easy the Jeep Pickup. It shouldn't be out of this world on pricing, will offer a diesel, and has a bed. It will probably turn a lot of heads as well. That and it will be one of the most off road capable trucks on the market.

Good point. I wouldn't expect it to be too cheap though since I'm pretty sure the plan is still for it to not have a "base" model. I figure it'll start out at Sahara.

Wagoneer is probably the greatest risk/reward Jeep, with fuel prices and consumer acceptance being the wildcards. The JT, on the other hand, is about as low-risk as it gets but it is the fulfillment of the Wrangler-sub-brand. As a result might have the greatest impact world wide.

Interesting times.

Since I can only pick a single pick, I chose the Grand Wagoner.
But I'm looking for the next Grand Cherokee.
A Deserthawk or Trackhawk in any of them will be seal the deal.

FCA has spent too much money in development of this vehicle to go back. It is ok, look at how much fuel economy has improved on V8 powered vehicles in 5 years. Hell, the new Ram 1500 with no eTorque beats my Charger R/T AWD in MPG.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’m bullish on the Wagoneers, and hybrids are the way forward no doubt. What they have managed to do with the eTorque has shocked the industry (pardon the pun). Still, when compared to the other offerings, it has the most risk associated with it.

Very true. The issue is FCA has put so much money into the program and pushed it back and back and back, that is has to go forward with it. But, they have two different versions of the Wagoneer coming out a regular wheelbase and a long wheelbase and the next generation Durango as well will help cement the profitability.

Stupid question incoming, but that long wheelbase version is likely going to be the Grand Wagoneer right? Not just a longer wheelbase Wagoneer?

Sorry, China getting all those "LWB" versions of cars has confused that term for me :p

True. I’m interested to see how they differentiate the Durango. Definitely expecting more of a sporty, crossover feel.
