IDK I paid a lot more for a Citadel, ,Don't discount this sort of thing ....... just because you don't see the value doesn't mean others won't your a practical guy. :D

IMHO the Grand is much nicer looking. Way upscale. But volume will be in the Wagoneer.

Also lets not forget you can get the Chevy and Ford in a pretty spartan interior.

Yes, and Citadel is a trim level. Not a completely different vehicle. So it’s expected to have a lot of similarities to the base version.

The Interior is really a homerun but I find the exterior ugly. If it was my money I'd probably buy the Escalade, and I'm fairly anti-gm.

I think this is the most beautiful full-size SUV of the big 3. And this is including the Escalade and Navigator.
I'm not sure what version will sell more, and I have some of the same reservations of Ryan. If they wanted to move Jeep upscale I think that the Wagoneer doesn't make sense and will eat into sales of the Grand Wagoneer. However, that one does have a bigger engine, much better tow rating, and more screens for passengers.
IMO, they should've made the Grand Wagoneer as the long version of the Wagoneer. When they release those they'll be the Grand Wagoneer L and the Wagoneer L? Thats a mouthful.

This is begging for a Durango with the Ram 1500 face.

Don't anyone get mad, but there is a lot of Alfa in that interior the way the leather portion of the dash wraps around and meets the wood trim, if you understand the new way they tool this it can be wood or other kinds of laminate.

But very nice either way
For Giulia and Stelvio interior supplier should be Faurecia. Is the same with Wagoneers but also Grand Cherokee although Wagoneers are more similar to Alfa in some details.

This Faurecia:

Rumor has it the next-generation Durango will share the WS platform.
The all new architecture. :p

Platform is something else both in ex-Chrysler or ex-Fiat world. For Fiat it would be a family of architectures, i.e. technically related architectures.

I'm warming up to it.

The silver one in the Reveal video looks like a Grand Cherokee to me.

*BUT* I do like that blacked out one they showed in the reveal video.

It's got to be SRT version based on the output, correct?

With the lack of an "entry" or base version (example - no cloth seats even in "base" wagoneer series I) I'm thinking that was intentional with upcoming "durango" changing over. This Wagoneer seems at least 10K over a relatively similar equipped Tahoe so they left a perfect hole to fill, hopefully next year.

Put the 6.4 in the 1500 already.

This is going to beg for my question, if they can install the 6.4 from the SRT in the WS platform , they can do the same with RAM 1500 with a little work.

I tend to agree that it better than the other. I find the Lincoln plane ugly.

Your really limited though as your trying to box look different.

I don't get the hate for the exterior look. I don't know, it's not the perfect exterior design, but I don't get "ugly."Certainly better than most. Suum cuique.

Very easily. One of my friends built a Hellcat-powered Rebel, he is very knowledgeable on the trucks and pretty much said the 392 is a plug-and-play deal with a computer reflash. He actually told me a year ago if I bought a DT 5.7 he'd drop a 392 in it for nothing.

I'm still in disbelief that Nissan minimally changed the styling from the previous generation of the Armada. The new generation hasn't brought any visual relief for us poor rental fleet hacks, who have to park them on the rental lot.

There is no way I'm going to complain about the exterior styling of the Wagoneer lineup. It's not ground breaking, but it also isn't ugly, bland , or silly. As far as the interior, I'm not sure if the knob which sticks up from the center console is a rotary shift control or for a touch screen control. I dislike the toggle shifter on the Chevy and GMC full size SUVs. I'm not happy about the seat adjustments being on the door panels. Lincoln does this as well, copying Mercedes who seem to have come up with the idea.Speaking of Lincoln, the Navigator uses piano key like shift control. It doesn't have the cheap plastic feeling like the GM products, but it does get lost among all the other switches.

The interiors in the new Jeep Wagoneers seem nice enough. It will probably be awhile before I'm behind the wheel of one. I suspect Jeep will offer some fleet options for the Wagoneer Series I when it becomes available. All that does is avoid mandatory option packages. Such practices do not diminish a product's value.

Since our fleet has Escalades and Navigators, we will no doubt have some Wagoneers somewhere down the line. It is my opinion, after having experience with the competitors, the Wagoneers show class and elegance .

I know I sounded negative earlier in the thread, but that was toward the stupid decision to make these two separate vehicles instead of just different trim levels. It actually could have been solved by putting a different front clip on WL75 and calling it Wagoneer while making these the Grand Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer Summit.

I think this is a beautiful vehicle. I would never want something this large, personally, but it looks very good inside and out. I think it’ll be successful. For some reason, it does make me more interested in a new Grand Cherokee. Guess it’s the halo effect doing its job.
