Head of Dodge and Chrysler brands in US retires
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be looking for a new person to lead its Dodge and Chrysler brands in the United States.
Steve Beahm, who had been the head of FCA's passenger car brands in North America, has retired, according to a company spokeswoman.
Beahm was named to his current position overseeing Dodge, Chrysler and Fiat in North American in February 2018. He added head of Mopar in North America to his list of responsibilities in October. The Mopar role has now shifted to Mark Bosanac.
Beahm's LinkedIn page says he worked for FCA and Chrysler Group for more than 11 years, holding various sales organization positions as well as leading supply chain management in North America. He is a graduate of Missouri Valley College.
In June, Beahm led the unveiling of a signature muscle car, the 797-horsepower 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, at FCA's Chelsea Proving Grounds.
That car was noted for its wide-ranging fuel consumption — 22 mpg in normal highway conditions while also being able to drain the fuel tank in under 11 minutes at full throttle — as well as its horsepower.
"I like to say it's a Hellcat that's been possessed by a Demon," Beahm said then, a reference to the supercharged Dodge Demon V8.
