The new Opel Astra has begun rolling off the assembly line at the Stellantis Rüsselsheim plant. Opel has already over 500 units of the new Astra, and in the upcoming months, the plant will begin Astra’s new electrification offensive. While those initial 500 units consist of the five-door model, the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer wagon is now available for pre-ordering.

Still adjusting to Opel being MOPAR, not GM linked to Saturn & Buick. Stellantis needs to link Opel and Chrysler! Chrysler as a mainstream or even premium "family mover" brand us the missing link at MOPAR dealers.
This Astra is beautiful and equals anything done by Buick, Kia, Mazda, even bland Acura and Infinity. Mark Adams is free of GM & doing the very best design work of his career. The lines are taunt, lean muscle and lighting elements can't be beat.
I only hope PSA platforms drive solid and grounded as has been the traditional of Chrysler Corp and FCA: Even Dart and 500X we quiet, handled well and were firmly planted to the road. Car Wow UK complained about road noise on a Vauxhall but I'm hoping this was due to tires. Opel can't get road noisy like Ford or handle slack like Hyundai or buying one won't be on my list. Otherwise, this is a beautiful machine!

Would love a small wagon to replace our 2009 Malibu. Do not want a CUV.

Technically they aren't. But it is very important to watch the Stellantis PSA brands since they will be sharing a lot of future Mopars in the future.

Alfa Romeo and FIAT are already part of the Mopar brand and feature Mopar accessories and parts...
