Indian Version Of New Commander Will Debut In April...​

Just a few days ago, Jeep® Brazil gave us our first peek at its all-new three-row Commander (H1) D-segment SUV. While the new seven-passenger SUV is based on the Compass, it is aimed at giving the brand a true family hauler where vehicles like the three-row Grand Cherokee L might simply be out of reach for many buyers. While it is unlikely that the North American market will be able to obtain one of these new SUVs, Jeep has big plans for the new Commander on a global scale.

Brazil has their work cut out building enough vehicles for Latin America. If the Hornet is Compass sized, that will be close enough to the C-segment to satisfy CDJ showroom demand for a crossover without seven slots on the front.

As Triple T pointed out the 300C was meant to be an Eagle. I might also add the PT Cruiser was meant to be a Plymouth. The Chrysler brand going down market while Dodge went up is what strangled De Soto to death.

Very high Tariffs

No go on Mexico unless the components are imported. The tooling doesn’t have a payback.

people don’t grasp the invest needed. And if they are why would that go to such a low margin vehicle over adding capacity to margin vehicle.

Just to make a low number loud keyboard voices, that are unlikely to speak with $$

Same as from Europe I think. It's usually covered by WTA. Tariff rates between countries.

But issue with Brazil export to US is not so commonly used trade route which means that transport itself would be very expensive.
