They got to do something for the Lincoln Conti... the poor thing cost $2 billion to bring to market and only sold 12k units in 2017 and looks to only sell just over 8k units this year. It has to be one of the biggest blunders from Ford in recent years. Its not a bad looking car. Just should have been RWD.

True, and it's too bad they didn't go with RWD because from all the reviews etc I've read about it it appears to be a very good car.

Not sure RWD would have helped. They really just needed to bring the Aviator to market earlier instead of this. And the Nautilus should have been totally redesigned and put on a RWD platform too instead of mildly updating an aged product and giving it a new name. Nautilus would have been a fine name if it hadn't been slapped on a refreshed MKX, now that name is tainted from being used on an old product.

Very true as well and the Aviator is looking very promising, I would have no problem with owning one of those.

Me too.

IMO, the only FWD Lincoln should be a subcompact crossover. I don't think the EcoSport would provide a good basis for a luxury SUV though. Maybe it could share some mechanical components with the new Focus hatchback. MKZ, MKC, and Nautilus need to go away ASAP. They are holdovers from a time when Ford didn't care about Lincoln.

I agree, although I will admit that I actually really like the facelifted MKZ, but at this point, it is dated. I also agree that the EcoSport wouldn't make a good platform to do a luxury CUV on, it's too small and too crappy to really do anything worthwhile with. The new Navigator is impressive and the Aviator looks very promising, if this is what we can expect from Lincoln going forward I think they will have no problem finding buyers moving forward.
