They went for "just" $14.84m.

Great price for the buyer imo. However they did require some restoration.

And this history is one big reason why I disagree vehemently when fellow Mopar diehards complain that AR shouldn't have been invested in. I think they botched the Giulia rollout trying to get it out. I don't think it was wasted effort to do it in the first place. After all, we very well could be talking about Chrysler and Dodge all in the past tense, but for enough people in power saying find them a merger partner 12 years ago.

I have been reading articles about the discontinued GM brands. I'm talking about Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Saturn, not the ones bought in conquest, such as Saab. None of the three GM brands were hurting for new product. The strange thing is, the more product they received, the worse thing got as far as sales and consumer perception. I think AR is going in the right direction. Alfa also isn't a money pit, because we see engineering like the GME fours being shared with other products already. The fact that the Euro and American GME engines have differences shows that FCA is avoiding a one size fits all philosophy with plagued GM and Ford before they shed some brands off.

I'm hoping Alfa Romeo continues their upward trajectory.
