Nice spot! I just would have set the focus on the Giulia instead of Stelvio. Would expect some text info for the new features for general broadcasting.

The color restriction does seem strange, all right. Bolder, "signature" colors would do a lot for Alfa's on-street recognition in the US. People mightn't recognise a Stelvio straight away in traffic, but they'd spot that metallic ochre color. Ironically, this is a strategy that has worked well for Dodge - you can get a Challenger in a range of colors that none of the other makers would ever dream of offering, and it makes them really stand out in a sea of black, white and silver.

Technically speaking, it looks like it's a special paint process: possibly a three-layer with tinted clear-coat, like the old "8C Competizione" red offered on Giulietta. Alfa previously used BASF (Glasurit) as the supplier for that paint, so it may be their product again. I don't think that would be a reason for not bringing it to the USA, though - any decent paint-shop will carry these paints, especially with the much bigger market for custom-painting in the USA

Giulia and Stelvio are offering two tri-coat colors in Europe. One is Rosso Competizione while the other one is Trofeo White.

Are these new just a regular metallic colors? That's a question.

Color options? Tri coat colors are in Europe available just on Quadrifoglio and now on Veloce Ti. There was additional constraints in the past. In US that was not the case and all colors were available on all trim levels.

New heritage colors will be late availability in Europe starting in spring if not later. Maybe US will follow at the later date, maybe MY21.

Interesting that one of new metallic colors is not available in EU but is in US. That's Lunare White which is silver with blueish hue. This color is known to European customers through Giulietta.
Vice versa is true for new color Moonlight Pearl which is available only in Europe.

I must say that a lot of color choices were late calls. This is not true for new colors on North American market.
