Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 222,410 units of its 2019 to 2020 Ram 2500/3500 pickups and Ram 3500/4500/5500 Chassis Cabs equipped with the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel. The recall-affected trucks are equipped with the Bosch CP4 high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) that could fail prematurely. A failure may introduce internally failed component debris into the fuel system potentially causing fuel starvation.

“FCA US, LLC will conduct a voluntary safety recall to replace the HPFP, update the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software, and inspect and, if necessary, replace additional fuel system components free of charge. “

IRT to the quote above - what additional fuel system components (please list all) should we (truck owner) be aware of that need to be verified / confirmed / replaced.

Got my recall notice on Dec 18th. Made several calls to local authorized Dealerships and no one has the parts. Two dealerships claimed that they may get parts in January but they're not currently putting a wait list together and told me I should call back and one dealership took my name and number and told me it would be a 3-4 month, that they were only allowed 1-2 fuel pumps per week or something of that nature.

Took my truck in today after waiting 10 months for my HPFP to get in. Ken Karff West valley Utah ram dealer said its time to replace my fuel filters also. The dealer is telling me they do not replace the fuel filters unless the HPFP failed. Does this sound right.

Got a 2019 Ram 3500, and still no pumps available. They can get the 2020 on up but no fix for the 2019. I have owned 11 Cummins Dodges never again. Poor customer service!
